According to the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area (Tay Ninh), recently the unit's rescue team has continuously provided first aid and assistance to many tourists and trekkers who have fallen, had accidents, or gotten lost due to venturing onto dangerous routes.

To ensure safety, the Management Board advises visitors to only climb the mountain via the Electric Pole route between 5:00 AM and 11:00 AM and to register at the control point before starting. Taking the trail or other routes carries the risk of getting lost, encountering treacherous terrain, and hindering rescue efforts.

The unit specifically warns against turning into areas with technical infrastructure such as water pipes, electrical systems, and telecommunications lines leading to the mountaintop. In the humid mountainous forest conditions, the risk of electrical leakage is very high, potentially causing electric shock.

In reality, tourists have been observed climbing and standing on electrical boxes and water pipes. This is both dangerous and offensive behavior. If an accident occurs in these areas, reaching and bringing the victim down the mountain will take a long time.

The management board also advises tourists to prepare adequate equipment, especially specialized hiking boots with good grip; to thoroughly research the route, bring enough water, and ensure they are in good physical condition before departure. Hikers should also monitor the weather forecast and absolutely refrain from climbing when the weather is unpredictable.

During their visit, tourists are expected to behave respectfully, refrain from picking fruit grown by local farmers on the mountain, respect local property, maintain environmental hygiene, and avoid littering.

The management board emphasized that the use of prohibited substances or flammable/explosive materials is strictly prohibited for climbers. Even a single careless act, such as lighting a campfire or taking photos by the fire, could lead to a forest fire.

The unit stated that it always facilitates tourists' conquest of the highest mountain in Southern Vietnam, but adherence to regulations is key to ensuring personal safety and supporting management and rescue efforts.

The management board calls on tourists to become civilized and responsible climbers, working together to protect the landscape and preserve the greenery of the "roof of Southern Vietnam".

Climbing Mount Ba Den resumed on December 12, 2025, after being suspended for over two months due to unfavorable weather and the risk of landslides during the rainy season.

At approximately 986 meters high, Mount Ba Den is a popular fitness destination for tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces. The climb to the summit via the Power Pole route typically takes 4-6 hours, depending on fitness level.

For tourists who don't want to climb the mountain, the cable car is an alternative option to visit and admire the 72-meter-tall, 170-ton bronze statue of the Goddess of Mercy at Tây Bổ Đà Sơn, considered the tallest statue of the Goddess of Mercy in Southeast Asia.

Ba Den Mountain is an extinct volcano located in Binh Minh ward (Tay Ninh province), and was recognized as a national historical site and scenic spot by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1991.

This is also a famous spiritual tourist destination, especially crowded during the Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival which lasts throughout the first lunar month.
