Typhoon No. 1 approaches Hainan Island.

(HTV) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 11:00 AM on July 3rd, Typhoon No. 1 was approximately 90km from Hainan Island, maintaining an intensity of level 8-9, with gusts up to level 11, and continuing to move in a North-Northwest direction.

At 11:00 AM on July 3rd, the center of Typhoon No. 1 was located at approximately 17.5 degrees North latitude and 109.9 degrees East longitude, about 90km south of Hainan Island ( China ). The typhoon had maximum sustained winds of level 8-9 (62-88 km/h), with gusts up to level 11. Over the next 3 hours, the typhoon is expected to continue moving in a North-Northwest direction at a speed of approximately 10 km/h.
