After days of searching, authorities in Utsunomiya City, Japan, have captured a black bear weighing approximately 100kg that had appeared near a residential area, causing concern among local residents.

Authorities are controlling the area to ensure the safety of residents.
Earlier, on the afternoon of June 9th, a resident of Utsunomiya City spotted the bear swimming along the canal behind their house. Upon receiving the report, police, hunters, and local zoo staff quickly arrived at the scene.

The bear appeared in the wooded area next to the canal behind the houses.
The adult bear was then subdued with a tranquilizer gun, placed in a cage on a truck, and transported away from the residential area. A local official said the city had not yet decided on the next course of action for the animal.
Despite capturing the bear, the Utsunomiya city government continues to close all 94 schools due to concerns that another bear may still be roaming the area.
