At the close of trading on September 4, 2024, at 4:30 AM, Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange increased, rising to 4,234 - 4,710 tons. Specifically, the November 2024 delivery contract was 4,710 USD/ton (up 10 USD/ton); the January 2025 delivery contract was 4,513 USD/ton (up 24 USD/ton); the March 2025 delivery contract was 4,341 USD/ton (up 32 USD/ton); and the March 2025 delivery contract was 4,234 USD/ton (up 37 USD/ton).

Arabica coffee prices on the New York exchange on the morning of September 4, 2024, were predominantly in the red, falling by 0.40-1.25 cents/lb. Specifically, the December 2024 delivery contract was 242.80 cents/lb, down 0.51%; the March 2025 contract was 241.05 cents/lb (down 0.43%); the May 2025 contract was 239.10 cents/lb (down 0.31%); and the July 2025 contract was 236.60 cents/lb (down 0.17%).

Brazilian Arabica coffee prices on the morning of September 4, 2024 showed mixed movements. Specifically, the September 2024 delivery contract was $296.70/ton, down 0.64%; the December 2024 contract was $294.00/ton (down 0.45%); the March 2025 contract was $294.10/ton (up 0.10%); and the May 2025 contract was $292.05/ton, down 0.34%.
Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe exchange (London exchange) opens at 4:00 PM and closes at 12:30 AM (the next day), Vietnam time.
Arabica coffee on the ICE Futures US (New York exchange) opens at 4:15 PM and closes at 1:30 AM (the next day), Vietnam time.
For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, trading hours will be from 19:00 to 02:35 (the next day), Vietnam time.
Domestic coffee prices, updated at 4:30 AM on September 4, 2024, are as follows: The domestic coffee market today saw a sharp decline of 4,000 - 4,100 VND/kg compared to the same time yesterday, ranging from 117,000 to 118,100 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 117,600 VND/kg, with the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province at 118,100 VND/kg.
Specifically, the purchase price of coffee in Gia Lai province (Chu Prong) is 117,800 VND/kg, while in Pleiku and La Grai it is 117,700 VND/kg. In Kon Tum province, the price is 117,800 VND/kg; in Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 118,100 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha, the price of bulk green coffee beans (green coffee beans, fresh green coffee beans) is 117,000 VND/kg.
Today's coffee prices (September 4th) in Dak Lak province are as follows: in Cu M'gar district, coffee is being purchased at approximately 117,900 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, it is being purchased at 117,800 VND/kg.
Domestic coffee prices followed the downward trend of world Arabica prices in the last trading session, mainly due to sell-offs by speculators on the London exchange. Traders said the market was technically overbought and could decline in the short term.
In addition, news of a sharp increase in global coffee exports is also putting pressure on the market. According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), global coffee exports reached 11.29 million bags in July, a 12.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
Overall, in the first 10 months of the 2023/2024 crop year (October 2023 to July 2024), global coffee exports totaled 115.01 million bags; an increase of 10.5% compared to 104.05 million bags in the same period of the 2022/2023 crop year.
Meanwhile, certified graded arabica coffee stocks held on the New York market increased by 7,683 bags on August 30, bringing the total to 847,873 bags. Specifically, 98% of the stocks are held in Europe, totaling 832,230 bags, and the remaining 15,643 bags are held in the United States.
Of that total, 399,595 bags, equivalent to 47.1% of the coffee registered and stored in the exchange's consumer warehouses, were processed arabica coffee from Brazil, and 13.57% were from Honduras.
