Thai Nguyen province has 92 communes and wards, with over 414,000 families, including more than 234,000 nuclear families and over 72,000 multi-generational families living together. The rest are family models consisting of two spouses; single parents raising children; or single-person households. However, regardless of the model, everyone needs a home to return to. Because it is there that everyone feels peace and a sense of belonging.
Family is where people are born, nurtured, and grow up. No matter the pressures of life outside the home, the family home is always a peaceful haven to return to. Perhaps that's why, deep down, the most beautiful path is the one leading home. There, you find grandparents, parents, and loved ones. From a mother's lullaby and a father's teachings to the customs and behaviors within the family, everything contributes to shaping the moral foundation and way of life for each individual. It is where each person is born, and it is also the first environment that shapes their character.
With societal development, people's lives are improving. The average GRDP of Thai Nguyen province in 2025 is estimated at 119 million VND/person/year. The number of poor households is decreasing rapidly, from over 23,000 at the beginning of 2025 to over 18,500 at the beginning of 2026. Notably, nearly 7,000 families received housing support this year. With stable family economic conditions, people have more opportunities to participate in local emulation movements and better conditions to care for and educate their children.
Furthermore, the province has effectively implemented population control, family planning, and child care and protection programs, contributing to the successful achievement of the goal of building prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy families. In reality, the family is not only a place for character formation but also a "lifelong school" for each individual. Here, moral standards are formed and strengthened, and relationships are nurtured with love and respect.

The Vietnamese have long had a saying: "A nation has its laws, a family has its traditions." Family traditions are the rules of conduct, the foundation that helps each family maintain stability and development. In this era of globalization, family traditions are harmoniously combined with tradition and modernity, with respect and equality.
In the family, grandparents and parents are role models; children and grandchildren are the continuation. Relationships are built on a foundation of love, sharing, and responsibility. To improve the quality of family-related work, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with various levels, sectors, and units to implement many practical activities to promote and educate on ethics and lifestyles.
In residential areas, the content of moral and lifestyle education within families has been flexibly integrated into community activities, creating a healthy living space that strengthens bonds between family members and the community. For example, in Dai Phuc commune, in 2025, the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated a pilot training program on the model of "Educating knowledge and skills for building a happy family before marriage," with nearly 400 participants. This is a practical step to help young people equip themselves with necessary skills before entering married life, contributing to building sustainable families from the roots.
Throughout history, the family has always played a central role. But in the context of global integration, the role of the family becomes even more crucial. This is because it is the heart of the traditional Vietnamese home. Within each home lie family and lineage traditions, serving as the cradle for preserving the beauty of traditional national culture and the roots for building a prosperous and happy society.
