Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, assessed Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital as a specialized treatment facility, receiving many patients from Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces.
According to Mr. Phong, the renovation project is a testament to the spirit of social responsibility and community involvement in caring for people's health. A green, clean, and beautiful medical examination and treatment space not only serves professional activities but also contributes to improving patients' morale and motivating medical staff.
"I believe that the medical staff will be very excited, feel more joy, and also feel a greater sense of responsibility when performing their duties in such a revamped environment," said the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The project was implemented with funding from Khang Dien Investment and Business Corporation and Orient Commercial Bank (OCB ), continuing the policy of mobilizing social resources to upgrade facilities serving the community.
Dr. Nguyen Huu Lan, Director of Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital, said that the new look not only changes the landscape but also has a positive impact on the psychology of patients, especially tuberculosis and lung disease patients who often feel ashamed of their illness.
Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital, a specialized hospital for tuberculosis and lung diseases under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , is also one of the largest respiratory treatment facilities in the Southern region.
Located at 120 Hong Bang Street, Cho Lon Ward, the hospital currently receives several thousand outpatient visits daily. It has a planned capacity of 960 beds but regularly utilizes around 1,000. Approximately 65-70% of patients come from provinces and cities outside Ho Chi Minh City, resulting in constant overcrowding.
According to Doctor Nguyen Huu Lan, in addition to improving the landscape, the project also restores many architectural elements, contributing to the preservation of the building, which is approximately 120 years old, while also improving the space for patients and their relatives.
