Medical staff at Lang Son Lung Hospital use software to manage patient records.
Recognizing digital transformation as a key task contributing to improved hospital management efficiency and administrative reform, the hospital has implemented a comprehensive range of solutions, from investing in equipment and technical infrastructure to enhancing the digital capabilities of its staff and employees.
In 2025, to meet the requirements of digitizing medical data, the unit invested in over 30 new computers for departments, wards, and examination and treatment areas. Simultaneously, the hospital implemented a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and a Laboratory Information System (LIS), creating a synchronized connection between paraclinical activities and examination, diagnosis, and treatment. The application of PACS and LIS has significantly reduced the time for delivering results, minimized the use of traditional films and paper documents, improved the ability to store and utilize medical data, and supported doctors in making faster and more accurate treatment decisions. In 2026, the hospital received nearly 500 million VND in funding to implement electronic medical records according to the roadmap of the Ministry of Health . In addition, hospital management software, health insurance medical examination and treatment software, electronic document management systems, and cashless payment systems continue to be maintained and effectively utilized.
In 2026, the hospital will continue to invest in upgrading its internal network, surveillance camera system, and information technology infrastructure to meet the requirements for implementing electronic medical records and comprehensive digital transformation. This synchronized investment in technical infrastructure not only ensures data security but also enhances the efficiency of management, operation, and supervision of professional activities throughout the entire unit.
The hospital also places special emphasis on developing its digital workforce. To date, over 90% of its staff and employees have been issued and are using electronic signatures in processing professional documents, records, and administrative transactions. Responding to the "Digital Literacy Movement," over 85% of staff have participated in digital skills training programs; notably, by 2026, 100% of staff will have completed the online training program on MOOCs on "Digital Literacy Movement."
Thanks to the increased application of information technology and digital transformation, the management and operation of the hospital have become increasingly scientific , transparent, and efficient; many processes have been shortened, administrative procedures reduced, and time saved for patients and medical staff. This is an important foundation for Lang Son Lung Hospital to continue improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, aiming to build a smart, modern hospital that meets the development requirements of the health sector in the new era.
