Beyoncé performs with daughter in hometown

Singer Beyoncé appeared on stage at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston (USA) on December 25, opening the show with a white horse and performing the hit song 16 Carriages .

After dismounting, the singer sang Blackbird with country singers Tanner Addell, Brittany Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts.

Beyoncé stunned in a white bodysuit and crystal-embellished pants, along with a white cowboy hat. She invited special guests, like Shaboozey and Post Malone, to perform Sweet Honey Buckiin' and Levi's Jeans , respectively.

The former Destiny's Child member also performed Ya Ya , Jolene and My House .

During Texas Hold 'Em , Beyoncé and Jay-Z's eldest daughter Blue Ivy came out on stage to dance to the music.

The show marked the first time Beyoncé, 43, performed songs from her latest studio album since its release in March 2024.

Last month, the NFL and Netflix announced that the most awarded female artist in Grammy history would headline the game in her hometown of Houston, along with a few special guests.

Beyoncé's country album Cowboy Carter reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with hit singles like Texas Hold 'Em and 16 Carriages, making the Cuff It singer the first black woman to top Billboard's Country Albums chart since the chart's inception in 1964.

In September 2024, Beyoncé defended her controversial decision not to release music videos for her seventh and eighth studio albums, Renaissance and Cowboy Carter , respectively.

"I think it's important that in an age where we only see images, the world can focus on voices," she shared in an article in GQ magazine's October 2024 issue.

The Single Ladies singer said the visuals can sometimes "take away from the quality of the voice and the music ".

"Years of hard work and meticulousness for an album that took over 4 years! Just the music was enough. Fans from all over the world became the visuals. We all had pictures on tour. Then we had more pictures from my film," she said.

Beyoncé is no stranger to performing at major NFL sporting events. In 2013, she headlined the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, performing all of her chart-topping hits, including Crazy in Love and Love on Top . The mother of three (daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 7) also brought along former Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to perform Independent Women, Pt. 1 and Bootylicious . Three years later, Beyoncé joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars for a huge performance at Super Bowl 50.

Beyoncé's latest halftime show comes just after her husband, Jay-Z, was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 along with now-incarcerated friend Sean "Diddy" Combs. The rappers have vehemently denied the allegations.
