According to the Provincial Tourism Association, from the beginning of 2026, the number of tourists visiting Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone has increased sharply compared to the same period last year, predicting a tourism boom on the island during Tet (Lunar New Year) and the following months of 2026. Most hotels on the island have already booked over 95% of their rooms… “To ensure tourists have a joyful and memorable Tet holiday, the association recommends that tourist areas, attractions, and businesses improve the landscape, enhance service quality, organize entertainment activities, events, culinary programs, promotions, and develop new and unique tourism products to contribute to creating an image of Phu Quoc as a safe, civilized, and friendly tourist destination,” said Nguyen Vu Khac Huy, Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association.
According to the leaders of the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone People's Committee, during the Tet holiday in Phu Quoc, tourists can explore nature, enjoy the beauty of beaches, primeval forests, and small islands around Phu Quoc, along with world-class entertainment and recreational services. To serve residents and tourists, the special economic zone is implementing many attractive spring and Tet celebrations, especially the 2026 Spring Festival art program with the theme "Phu Quoc Opens the New Year - Shining Brightly on the Pearl Island". Local authorities, in coordination with relevant units, are strengthening inspection and supervision of service quality, prices, security, and order, preventing price gouging, and protecting the rights of tourists…

According to Bui Quoc Thai, Director of the Department of Tourism, in order to improve the quality of service for local people and domestic and international tourists visiting An Giang during the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, the tourism industry is proactively coordinating with localities and relevant units to develop a comprehensive plan to ensure safety, civility, and rich cultural identity.
The Department of Tourism directs tourism businesses, tourist areas, and attractions to strengthen environmental hygiene, beautify landscapes, ensure fire and explosion safety; proactively improve the quality of tourism products and services; and design tours that include sightseeing, experiencing activities, and events to attract tourists. Local authorities are strengthening state management of tourism… ensuring that tourists have an impressive holiday with many memorable experiences during the Lunar New Year celebrations in An Giang.
Simultaneously, the tourism sector is stepping up the promotion of An Giang tourism on digital media platforms and social networks, introducing tourism products and services that suit the needs of tourists during Tet; maintaining an effective tourism hotline, receiving and promptly handling feedback from residents and tourists…
