On the afternoon of the fourth day of Tet (Lunar New Year), the area around Hoan Kiem Lake saw a significant increase in the number of people compared to the first two days of the year. The favorable weather, with gentle sunshine and pleasant temperatures, encouraged many families to take advantage of the opportunity to go out and stroll around the lake.

Along the streets bordering the lake, especially the embankment and sidewalks, people move slowly due to the high density. Families with young children, groups of young friends, tourists from other provinces, and international visitors all blend into the lively spring atmosphere.

The main attraction for the crowds is the exhibition space featuring over 300 ancient peach trees at Ly Thai To Park. These trees were selected from traditional craft villages such as Nhat Tan, Phu Thuong, and Tu Lien, boasting many unique shapes, with some trees being decades old.

Many young people say they choose Ho Guom Lake because it offers an open space for strolling and is convenient for combining photography, sightseeing, and religious ceremonies in one area. "Just a short walk around is enough to experience the full atmosphere of Tet in Hanoi ," one tourist shared.

Not only Hanoi residents and visitors from other provinces, but also many foreign tourists are immersing themselves in the Vietnamese Tet atmosphere. On the lake shore, it's easy to spot groups of European, Korean, and Japanese tourists stopping to observe the spring festivities, take photos amidst the peach blossoms, and learn about the customs of visiting temples at the beginning of the year.

At The Huc Bridge, a long line of people stretched towards Ngoc Son Temple to offer incense and pray for peace. Inside the temple, visitors moved according to directions to avoid congestion.

The allure of Hoan Kiem Lake on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year holiday stemmed from several factors. Besides the beautiful weather and the long holiday period, the central area was beautifully decorated with spring flowers, creating a visually striking scene. Notably, the display of approximately 300 ancient peach blossom trees in Ly Thai To Park attracted many visitors who stopped to take photos, contributing to the extended time tourists spent around the lake.

By late afternoon, the crowds around the lake remained high. The bustling atmosphere continued into the evening, making Hoan Kiem Lake the most crowded spring festival destination in the capital on the fourth day of Tet.
