In particular, users will never again visit websites to search or go to Amazon to shop. AI assistants can understand users' needs and habits, reading out things they don't have time to look at themselves.
“I would be very disappointed if Microsoft didn’t reach its goal. However, I’m also very impressed with some startups, including Inflection,” Bill Gates shared. Inflection.ai is a startup founded by former DeepMind executive Mustafa Suleyman.
He also mentioned the role of AI in accelerating progress in the field of medicine and promoting pharmaceutical development. Although the workings of the brain remain a mystery to scientists , he believes humanity will get closer to creating drugs to cure diseases like Alzheimer's.
Furthermore, Bill Gates also predicted the rise of generative AI technologies that would impact the office environment. Meanwhile, future humanoid robots would become cheaper, significantly affecting the workforce.
