Vietnam's first blockchain infrastructure.
The national blockchain platform - NDAChain - developed under the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the National Data Center and the National Data Association (NDA), has completed its technical infrastructure, national standards, and core functions.

“Blockchain is shifting from a transaction technology to the core infrastructure of the data economy . With NDAChain, Vietnam not only masters the core technology but also creates a unified authentication layer for national data, ensuring that all digital transactions, from public administration to commerce, are transparent and verifiable,” an NDAChain representative shared.
As of December 2025, the platform has been operating stably on a trial basis with 15 authentication nodes at the National Data Center and strategic partners such as TH Group, Sun Group, MISA , VNVC, the National Barcode Center, etc. The system has recorded more than 6 million authenticated transactions, demonstrating its operational capacity on a national scale.
The National Data Association stated that the NDAChain system will expand its network of authentication nodes to technology corporations, regional data centers, and provinces and cities, forming a multi-regional authentication network with low latency, high fault tolerance, and readiness for integration with industry-specific platforms.
Data authentication and asset authentication
With its three-layer architecture, the NDAChain system consists of: Layer 1, the core blockchain – the foundation for authentication and data integrity; Layer 2, specialized service and blockchain platforms such as NDADID and the national data exchange; and Layer 3, public service and citizen applications such as NDATrace and NDAKey. NDAChain has released an open integrated API/SDK, allowing ministries, departments, localities, and businesses to easily connect, utilize, and deploy data authentication applications on this unified infrastructure.
Based on these structures, PILA Company has developed an ecosystem comprising the NDAChain blockchain infrastructure, the NDADID decentralized identity platform, the NDAKey digital identity management application, and the NDATrace product identification, authentication, and traceability platform, which are gradually becoming essential digital asset infrastructure in Vietnam.
The NDADID and NDAKey platforms enable digital identification for individuals, businesses, and data entities. All assets linked to this digital identity – from records and certificates to ownership rights – are authenticated and protected by blockchain technology in the form of digital certificates. The NDATrace platform extends the concept of digital assets to the realm of goods and supply chains. Each product is assigned a unique identifier containing traceability information: place of production, quality standards, distribution journey, and certifications are publicly available, transparent, and verifiable globally.
When Vietnamese blockchain infrastructure layers such as NDADID, NDATrace, etc., are interconnected with international blockchain infrastructures, Vietnam is facing the opportunity to create a production and trade ecosystem based on trust at an international level. “Blockchain is currently the only technology that can guarantee three core elements: authenticity – all information is verifiable; integrity – data cannot be altered; and traceability – the entire history of an asset is stored transparently,” said Mr. Nguyen Phu Dung, CEO of PILA Company.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association, its members have developed more than 40 pilot models using blockchain technology in agricultural product traceability, logistics, e-commerce, and public data management. “We have seen many models put into practice, such as document authentication, public asset management, and traceability of agricultural products and goods. It is encouraging that businesses have applied blockchain instead of just viewing it as an experimental technology,” said Mr. Nguyen Quy Hoa, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Electronic Communication Association – the governing body of the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association.
“Ho Chi Minh City is implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. In this context, blockchain plays a crucial role in promoting digital transformation, socio-economic development, especially in intellectual property management, traceability, combating counterfeiting, and creating a transparent data system,” Mr. Nguyen Quy Hoa added.
