Kinhtedothi - The Ministry of Public Security has sent a letter of commendation to the Thai Binh Provincial Police for their achievements in dismantling a transnational drug trafficking ring that illegally bought and transported narcotics from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.

According to information from the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Thai Binh Provincial Police for their achievements in combating and dismantling a large-scale illegal drug trafficking and storage ring that transported drugs from Laos and Son La to Thai Binh for consumption. They arrested and prosecuted 13 suspects and seized a total of over 43 kg of various types of drugs, along with other evidence.

The letter of commendation stated that the Ministry's leadership had received a report that, in the past period, the Thai Binh Provincial Police had focused on decisively and effectively implementing professional measures to combat and dismantle a large-scale illegal drug trafficking and storage ring transporting drugs from Laos and Son La to Thai Binh for consumption, arresting and prosecuting 13 individuals, and seizing a total of over 43 kg of various types of drugs along with many other pieces of evidence.

This is an outstanding achievement demonstrating the determination, high sense of responsibility, resourcefulness, and sharp professional skills of the Thai Binh Provincial Police, especially the Drug Crime Investigation Department, in implementing the directives of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security leadership on preventing and combating drug crimes and transnational crimes.

The dismantling of large-scale drug trafficking rings has contributed to preventing the supply of drugs from abroad into the country, deterring and preventing crime, stabilizing security and order, and strengthening public trust in the police force.

On behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long - Deputy Minister of Public Security - commended the achievements of the officers. He requested the Thai Binh Provincial Police to continue investigating and expanding the case, and to promptly consolidate documents and evidence to request the prosecution of the suspects in accordance with the law.
