Looking back at the half term of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, especially the Politburo's thematic Resolution on sports development in the new period, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized strong, the sports industry has made quite long strides.
In particular, the good news is that sports for everyone has had profound development, operated through the Campaign for all people to exercise physically following the example of great Uncle Ho. Since then, every Vietnamese person has chosen for themselves a suitable sport to practice and improve their health every day. The achievements and contributions of the industry have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party, State and People," the Minister said, adding that that success has a great contribution from those directly involved in sports.
However, besides the results achieved, the Minister also pointed out the limitations and shortcomings of the sports industry and clarified the causes of those limitations. The Minister requested those working in state management of sports to think seriously to develop solutions.
The Minister proposed that immediately after the celebration of the 78th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Sports Industry, leaders of the sports industry and the entire industry must immediately start working on the following tasks:
Firstly, it is necessary to widely deploy throughout the industry Conclusion 70 of the Politburo on the development of Sports and Physical Training in the new period.
Besides, we must actively pursue, soon complete and submit to competent authorities for approval the Sports Development Strategy in the coming time.
Second, the Minister requested the entire industry to further promote the concept of shifting thinking from doing sports to state management of sports.
The Department of Sports and Physical Training needs to more clearly define the role of state management of sports; promote the role of orientation and supervision of sports activities across the country.
The Department also needs to coordinate well and clearly define functions and powers with Sports Federations and Associations to coordinate and carry out work effectively. At the same time, promote the role of predictive analysis, seeing strategic directions for advice.
The Minister also requested the Department of Physical Training and Sports to review the Law on Physical Training and Sports and other regulations. If there are any problems or inadequacies, request the competent authorities to amend and create clear corridors for development. .
Third, the Minister requested the Department of Sports and Physical Training to reorganize the team, promote the spirit of innovation, dare to think, dare to do, dare to decide, dare to choose difficult things to do; maximize democracy but at the same time, we must see our responsibilities.
Fourth, the Department of Sports and Physical Training needs to strengthen inspection and supervision to prevent violations, especially for National Sports Training Centers in training, coaching and investment. in a focused and focused direction; proactively and better the communication work of the Sports industry.
