According to MEN , Fernandes did not outright reject Al-Hilal's offer. The midfielder let his agent Miguel Pinho start discussions with Al-Hilal about the feasibility of this deal.

Al-Hilal are willing to pay Fernandes £700,000 a week, along with a £100m transfer fee for United. The Saudi Arabian club are keen to complete the deal before the FIFA Club World Cup in the US in the middle of next month.

The move to Saudi Arabia will not affect Fernandes' international career, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruben Neves still being called up to the Portugal national team despite playing in the tournament.

Despite a poor season with MU, Fernandes is still the team's top scorer with 19 goals. He has just won the Sir Matt Busby award (Club's best player of the season) for the second consecutive time. Currently, Fernandes is on a tour in Hong Kong (China) and entrusts his future to his agent.

Meanwhile, coach Ruben Amorim is still trying to keep Fernandes. He said: "He is very important to MU, and plays an important role in the plans I want to build. Fernandes is always the one to take responsibility in difficult times."

MU is said to be ready to sell all players, including Fernandes. Not playing in the European Cup next season will significantly affect the club's revenue. The "Red Devils" must seriously consider Al-Hilal's offer when Fernandes turns 30.

MU stars' emotions after losing to Southeast Asian team On the evening of May 28, MU players could not smile when they lost 0-1 to the lower-rated ASEAN All Stars at Bukit Jalil Stadium.
