Russian tourists to Phu Quoc boom

VTV.vn - In the first 9 months of the year, Phu Quoc welcomed more than 1.2 million international visitors, of which Russian tourists reached nearly 52,000.

This number is expected to increase even more when recently, Phu Quoc welcomed the first direct flight from Vladivostok city (Russian Federation) carrying 220 Russian tourists to visit the Pearl Island.

To reopen flights after a 5-year hiatus, many travel companies have participated in Phu Quoc tourism promotion campaigns through international media channels, cooperating with tourism partners and airlines to attract tourists from many different markets, especially from Eastern Europe and Russia.

Travel + Leisure magazine ranked Phu Quoc in the top 3 most beautiful islands in the Asia- Pacific region in 2025.

Phu Quoc possesses beautiful beaches, tropical climate, rich nature and modern infrastructure. Along with that, tourism services meet all customer segments, safe tourism environment, hospitable people. All help the Pearl Island attract millions of visitors each year.

The peak tourist season at the end of 2025 is marking the strong development of Phu Quoc. The wave of international visitors, especially tourists from Russia, along with the opening of more domestic flights, the resort tourism market on the Pearl Island is witnessing remarkable growth, opening up rare investment opportunities in the region.
