'Both Dangrangto and Tran La Luot are me'

Dangrangto arranged the three songs as a journey, from initial feelings of attraction to when love becomes deeper and more understood.

Dangrangto and the emotional journey in the mini EP

In " To Save for You ," the central character is a young man who has experienced heartbreak and is therefore cautious about entering a new relationship. Lyrics like "Back then, I was also naive and gave away my sincere heart" or "Part of me is afraid of getting hurt again, the other part wants this girl to be mine" show the struggle between fear and desire.

When asked if this reflected his real-life feelings, Dangrangto stated that the story wasn't just his own: "This isn't just the emotion of the character in the song, but the story of many people. Maybe some of my own emotions are put into it, but more than anything, I want to tell stories for the real world."

Dangrangto - For you

Dangrangto doesn't portray the character in an overly idealized way. Instead, it focuses on the character's insecurity in the face of "so many romantic, handsome, or super-rich people out there," and how this is compensated by sincerity, even with a touch of humor through lines like "gold medal in the art of super silly texting." This helps the song maintain a youthful feel instead of becoming overly sentimental.

In "Come Here Beside Me on an Autumn Afternoon ," the emotional flow shifts to a more stable phase. The acoustic arrangement moderates the rhythm, creating space for the vocals and lyrics. Lines like "When you're sad, you always reach out to me" show a shift from pursuit to companionship.

The two entities always go hand in hand.

When asked why Dangrangto, who was previously known for his high-energy rap (under the stage name Tran La Luot), has now switched to emotional R&B, the rapper stated that this isn't a change in direction but rather an expression of two parallel musical personalities.

"Both Dangrangto and Tran La Luot are me. Depending on the story of each song, one aspect of my personality will be more prominent." According to Dangrangto, each product carries a different message, so the style of expression also changes flexibly - he told Tuoi Tre Online.

With his new EP, the rapper wants to focus more on his own narrative and the process of reinventing himself with each comeback: "Whether it's Dangrangto or Tran La Luot, I hope the audience will feel satisfied with the spiritual nourishment I bring."

Dangrangto stated that this project has been in the works for a long time and will fully embody the spirit of both musical styles: "The album will be the answer to the questions people have asked, 'Where is Dangrangto?' or 'Where is Tran La Luot?'," he said, adding that the project will combine many different styles and feature some unexpected collaborations.
