Advantages of developing a green economy and a circular economy.

In Ca Mau province, there are 16 wind power plants currently in operation, contributing 870 MW to the national power grid.

With a coastline of 310 km and a territorial sea of 120,000 km2, Ca Mau possesses a particularly important geopolitical position, situated in the center of the Southeast Asian maritime region, where international shipping routes converge.

This advantage has made Ca Mau the " shrimp capital " of the nation, with a farming area of up to 420,000 hectares, a production of 580,000 tons, and shrimp export revenue exceeding 2 billion USD.

Notably, the province boasts 37,000 hectares of ecological shrimp farming under mangrove forests that meet international standards, and over 10,000 hectares of super-intensive shrimp farming applying Biofloc and RAS technologies. A system of over 89 modern processing plants with a total capacity of 500,000 tons per year has enabled Ca Mau shrimp products to conquer more than 60 countries and territories worldwide.

Besides its strengths in fisheries, Ca Mau is transforming into a regional renewable energy hub thanks to its abundant sunshine, wind, and open spaces.

In particular, with its rich wetland ecosystem and the largest mangrove forest area in the region, and possessing two national parks that are biosphere reserves and World Ramsar sites, Ca Mau holds a unique advantage in carbon credits. This is a solid foundation for the province to pioneer the development of a green economy, circular economy, and sustainable ecotourism.

Creating a transparent investment environment and developing infrastructure.

Ca Mau has over 10,000 hectares of super-intensive shrimp farming applying Biofloc and RAS technologies, ensuring a clean shrimp supply for export.

To capitalize on its advantages, Ca Mau has been aggressively reforming its administrative procedures and creating a transparent and stable business environment. The dynamism of the government has strongly attracted high-quality capital flows.

In 2025 alone, Ca Mau attracted 24 new projects with a total registered capital of VND 8,356 billion. To date, the province has 685 operational projects with a total registered capital of VND 329,861 billion (including 29 FDI projects), affirming the strong confidence of the business community.

Ca Mau's competitive advantage is strengthened by its energy foundation from the gas-electricity-fertilizer ecosystem and large-scale wind power projects. With 16 operational wind power plants contributing 870 MW to the national grid, along with 10 projects under development and 22 other projects (total capacity of 1,393 MW) attracting investor interest, Ca Mau is nearing its goal of becoming a clean energy hub.

According to the plan for 2030, the province's renewable energy capacity is expected to reach a record 3,220 MW, opening up unlimited development opportunities for green industries.

Ca Mau is focusing its investment on transportation and logistics infrastructure, identifying it as a "lever" to transform the local economy. Expressways connecting Can Tho and Ca Mau, Ca Mau and Dat Mui, along with transportation routes to Hon Khoai Island, are gradually taking shape.

At the heart of this strategy is the Hon Khoai dual-use integrated port mega-project, which will accommodate giant 250,000-ton vessels, positioning Ca Mau as a crucial gateway on the international maritime map.

Simultaneously, Ca Mau Airport is being upgraded and expanded to be ready to connect large-scale flights, transforming this southernmost region into a vibrant hub for trade and commerce in the area.

Alongside financial incentives, Ca Mau has made a breakthrough with a streamlined administrative management system through a "one-stop shop" mechanism directly operated by the Economic Zone Management Board. Currently, 100% of administrative procedures have been digitized electronically, optimizing processing time.

In particular, the province is proactively proposing to the Government the application of special mechanisms, focusing on the "Dual Licensing" model (allowing procedures to be implemented in parallel with the construction process), helping investors minimize waiting time and seize all business opportunities in the digital age.

With the spirit of "Unleashing potential, shaping the future," Ca Mau affirms its open-door policy and its readiness to establish long-term and effective cooperative relationships with organizations, associations, and businesses both domestically and internationally.
