Following the launch of the contest, the organizing committee received nearly 4,000 individual and series photographs from over 400 authors and groups of authors from all over the country; demonstrating the sense of responsibility and concern of photojournalists, photographers, and numerous amateur authors for the country's innovation and development process.
“Image of a female soldier from Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1 holding a future citizen of Hanoi in her arms,” by Tran Thanh Giang, C prize.
"Harvesting in a high-quality rice field," by Nguyen Thanh Hung, winner of the C prize.
Many works possess high artistic quality and informational value, with tight compositions, subtle lighting, and expressive moments; they authentically reflect contemporary people and life. Each work is a perspective, a story, a slice of life; above all, it portrays the image of the hardworking, resilient, and ambitious Vietnamese people.
"Phu Quoc beckons," by Huynh Thanh Hung, Honorable Mention.
After several rounds of judging, 22 outstanding works were selected for awards, including: 2 A prizes, 3 B prizes, 5 C prizes, and 12 Consolation prizes.
In addition, the organizing committee selected many high-quality works to be featured in a photo book about the competition. The book not only recognizes and honors the authors but also serves as a valuable documentary, contributing to the preservation and widespread dissemination of representative images of Vietnam on its journey of reform.
