The "1689" live show was a vocal feast featuring Trung Quân and a host of guest singers with powerful voices. However, focusing too much on showcasing vocals meant the show lacked the necessary elements to reach its peak appeal.

In less than a year, Trung Quân held two solo live shows. This was a big move by the former Vietnam Idol contestant and his team, because Vietnamese music is currently in a "frozen" phase in terms of shows and event organization.

Trung Quân's team announced that they had sold over 7,000 tickets for the 1689 live show. In fact, the seats at Phu Tho Stadium, where the 1689 show took place, were almost completely filled.

Trung Quân and his guest performers sang over 40 songs. The male singer called 1689 a live show, rather than a live concert, because this show focused entirely on vocals, with other elements like stage design, visual effects, lighting, and choreography being only supplementary. Trung Quân showcased his greatest strength: his powerful voice. Even in the final song, he still reached an octave, handling high notes smoothly. This is a quality not many young singers in the Vietnamese music market can achieve.

The lineup of guest performers added a lot of interesting color to the 1689 live show.

Her vocals are explosive, but not yet perfect.

When organizing two live shows in less than a year, Trung Quân's first challenge was to ensure the show didn't become monotonous. The singer strategically placed his signature hits throughout the show, interspersed with unreleased songs. And finally, and most importantly, the unique styles of the guest performers helped Trung Quân refresh his show and attracted a large audience.

The guest lineup for the show included Thuy Chi, Ho Quynh Huong, My Linh, Bui Anh Tuan, Suboi, and Myra Tran. Trung Quan relied on his colleagues to create something new, even crazy, to liven up the atmosphere at the arena.

The male singer makes Thuy Chi look younger when he sings. Love Min performed and danced with the dance troupe. Trung Quân blended the appearances of Hồ Quỳnh Hương and Mỹ Linh into a trio performance, showcasing their powerful vocals. Trung Quân surprised everyone by playing the role of the bride, singing alongside groom Bùi Anh Tuấn. Let's get married ! Along with Myra Tran, the singer born in 1989 dances wildly and poles.

As for Trung Quân, the male singer made an effort to transform himself by dancing more, taking more control of the stage, and directly acting as an MC, connecting the different segments of the show. However, Trung Quân's greatest value, and what truly resonated with viewers, remained his voice. The fact that Trung Quân sang so well after performing over 40 songs in the live show was no surprise to him.

The only problem was that Trung Quân was too ambitious in this live show. In every performance, the male singer wanted to shout and push himself to high notes to end the songs. After the first few songs, the explosive ending that Trung Quân created thrilled the audience. But as the show progressed, that shouting started to create a tiring energy. When every performance, from the singers to the guest artists, was more about "singing competition," the 1689 live show lacked the necessary moments of reflection.

Trung Quân's advantage lies in having many hit songs that have maintained their popularity for years. Many audience members attending the 1689 show knew every word and rhythm of most of the songs Trung Quân sang. However, the intense and fast-paced emotional flow of the live show caused the audience's "chorus" to fade away.

For example, the performance In "Rainy Day ," if the band slows down, inserts a section for Trung Quân to sing along with the audience, or turns the music off completely, giving the audience the "stage," this would undoubtedly be the most emotional moment of the live show.

Several sound issues disrupted the live show. These included the sound cutting out before transitioning to the next song. It's too late from the moment This caused confusion for the audience. However, overall, the quality of the music , under the arrangement of musician Duc Tri, contributed greatly to the success of the live show.

Suboi caused a sensation when she appeared.

Suboi looks out of place.

Rapper Suboi was a unique personality among a lineup of talented vocalists at the 1689 live show. However, Suboi was the least impressive guest, performing only one song. Her rap part, when accompanied by the orchestra, also failed to leave any lasting impression, as it was difficult for the audience to clearly hear the lyrics.

Bui Anh Tuan and Myra Tran were the two most explosive guest artists in the live show. Bui Anh Tuan made a rare return to the stage after a long period of absence. His vocals were problematic, completely overshadowed when he sang a duet with Trung Quan. However, the stage design, especially the performance itself, was outstanding. Let's get married. This has made Bui Anh Tuan the center of attention in the show and is causing a sensation on social media.

Myra Tran was a name Trung Quan kept secret until her appearance. The singer, born in 1999, showed impressive live singing abilities, and together with Trung Quan, created the "Wild Dance" performance, shifting the live show to a completely different emotional level. The remaining guests, Thuy Chi, Ho Quynh Huong, and My Linh, maintained their high-quality voices and class, adding to Trung Quan's professionally executed live show.

Trung Quân's achievement of selling out tickets for two live shows in one year is remarkable in the current Vietnamese music market. The male singer created a concert with 100% live performances, combining an orchestra with drums, piano, guitar, saxophone, trumpet, strings... and live backing vocals, which is different from many live shows and concerts by Vpop artists.
