According to AppleInsider , the iPhone 15 is the product line that Apple is expected to launch at an event organized by the company on September 12. Among these, the most notable name is the iPhone 15 Pro Max - a product that is said to have a titanium frame, USB-C Thunderbolt port and periscope camera.
iPhone 15 Pro Max is the only iPhone 15 model equipped with a periscope camera
In the report, Mr. Kuo said that the growth in orders in Apple's supply chain for the iPhone 15 Pro Max will increase by 10% to 20%. In particular, this high-end model can account for 35% to 40% of total orders for the iPhone 15 series in the first sale.
Kuo added that the periscope camera will also boost sales of the iPhone 16 Pro next year, as both high-end models are expected to feature the feature. All of this adds up to a big win for periscope lens supplier Largan, which is said to be the exclusive periscope lens supplier to Apple and ships over 60% of Huawei's periscope lenses.
The report concludes that periscope lens orders will reach 15-20 million units in 2023, then increase to around 30 million units in 2024. Largan will benefit from smartphone manufacturers adopting the technology.
Finally, a recent rumor says that Apple will delay the release of the iPhone 15 Pro Max to October due to supply shortages. This detail is likely to be confirmed by Apple.
