According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , E10 gasoline has been widely used in many countries for a long time. Technical assessments show that more than 90% of vehicles currently in circulation in Vietnam can use this type of fuel without needing to modify their engine structure. The deployment of E10 gasoline sales is not a trial decision, but is based on scientific research, technical assessments, and reference to international experience.
In fact, more than 60 countries worldwide are using ethanol-blended gasoline. Brazil has had a biofuel program since 1975, the United States has used E10 gasoline as its standard fuel for over two decades, and many countries in the European Union, Thailand, and the Philippines have also widely adopted it.
Besides contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving air quality, and fulfilling the commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050, E10 gasoline also helps diversify energy sources, reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels, and increase resilience to fluctuations in the global energy market.
In the context of rapidly spreading information online, every citizen needs to be vigilant and selective about information; they should access information from official sources and avoid sharing unverified content. Understanding E10 gasoline correctly not only helps in the efficient use of this new fuel but also contributes to the country's green and sustainable development goals.
