With the advantage of being the province with the largest tea growing area in the country and more than 800 historical, religious and scenic relics, Thai Nguyen has strengths in cultural, spiritual, historical, origin tourism , eco-tourism, resorts and especially community and rural tourism associated with tea culture.

Coming to Thai Nguyen, the memorable experience for most tourists of all ages is after visiting historical sites, exploring tea hills, learning about the tea making process and enjoying specialties in the tea culture space.

Every day, Hao Dat Tea Cooperative (Nam Dong hamlet, Tan Cuong) receives many tourists. Despite her busy schedule, artisan Dao Thi Hao, Director of the Cooperative, still takes the time to welcome, interact, and share about the journey of creating national 5-star OCOP products and the development of the largest tea cooperative in the province. The cup of premium tea is even more flavorful because of the admiration for the talented, brave, and determined women of the tea region.

Artisan Le Quang Nghin in Hong Thai 2 hamlet (Tan Cuong commune) is an extremely engaging tea storyteller. Mr. Nghin has been a typical good farmer and businessman in Tan Cuong tea land for many years. His family's tea garden is beautifully planned, and still preserves ancient tea trees planted in 1928 to serve tourists and take souvenir photos.

Mr. Le Quang Nghin is always proud of the traditional Tan Cuong tea buds, a tea line that carries the soul of the precious tea region, trusted by consumers for more than a century. This special tea is roasted and dried from the “one bud, two leaves” buds of the midland tea variety. For tea connoisseurs, the traditional Moc Cau tea buds are still the best.

Mr. Le Quang Nghin’s house welcomes many “Western guests” even though he does not invest much in accommodation. Tourists from far away countries come to his house just to see the tea garden, watch the tea plants being watered, play with the children, eat some simple dishes, and take some photos, which is enough to make them happy. They say goodbye and still come back on some occasion, becoming real family members.

At Ha Thai Tea Joint Stock Company (La Bang Commune), tourists can experience picturesque tea hills produced according to organic processes, listen to artisan Nguyen Thi Hien, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors proudly talk about the product that won the Silver Prize at the North American International Specialty Tea Competition and plans for high-end tea products for export in the near future.

Enjoying free tea has become a beautiful cultural feature that has been widely implemented throughout the province. Tourists commented that Thai Nguyen has done a good job of welcoming, introducing delicious tea, organizing a space to enjoy tea, and experiencing planting and processing.

Although they are all tea plants, each region has its own story, associated with geographical characteristics, historical and cultural factors, creating differences in products, methods of production and uses. The stories are told with the pride of tea growers, so they are both attractive and convincing, and exude the soul of the product, creating a deep impression on visitors.

The sincerity and simplicity of tea makers and the hundred-year-old stories about Thai Nguyen tea trees with many ups and downs associated with the lives of hundreds of thousands of households have helped tourists understand and love this land more. Attached to tea with passion and deep understanding, many Thai Nguyen people have become true "cultural ambassadors", preserving a treasure trove of knowledge about the profession and tea culture.

The image of Thai Nguyen as a peaceful, friendly and hospitable land is felt by tourists through conversations with tea makers. This is not only an opportunity to share stories about the land and people, but also an opportunity to promote products, contributing to the sustainable development of the Thai Nguyen tea brand.
