Speaking at the contest, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, said that the education sector has completed the first cycle of the 2018 General Education Program with many advantages. In particular, the notable advantage is the focus on teaching, forming and developing students with necessary practical skills and qualities. However, many teachers still have difficulty in turning theory into practice. Therefore, the promotion of STEM education in teaching and organizing educational activities at primary and secondary levels has received a lot of support.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tang added that in the field of STEM education, Robothon has been of particular interest to students in research, study, and active participation in competitions. In recent times, many excellent Can Tho students in this field have won many high prizes in domestic and international competitions, bringing glory to the city. This competition is very meaningful, because it is an important basis for the city to select the most outstanding students to train and nurture, aiming to "bring the bell to strike foreign lands".
The competition is the basis for Can Tho City to select excellent students in Robothon to participate in the national competition, seeking opportunities to reach out internationally.
