| Heavy rain has fallen in Ha Giang 2 ward over the past 6 hours. |
Soil moisture models indicate that some areas within the province are near-saturated (above 80%) or have already reached saturation.
The Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station warns that in the coming period, areas throughout the province will continue to experience rain with accumulated rainfall generally ranging from 5-15mm, and in some places exceeding 40mm. Heavy rain poses a high risk of flash floods and landslides on small rivers and streams; landslides in areas with steep terrain, weak and unstable soil and rock structures, and construction sites; and flooding in low-lying areas, along rivers and streams, and in urban areas.

Flash floods, landslides, land subsidence, and inundation can have very serious impacts on the environment, threatening people's lives; causing localized traffic congestion, affecting the movement of vehicles; and destroying infrastructure, causing damage to socio- economic activities.
Local authorities are advised to review bottlenecks in water flow and vulnerable locations in the area to implement preventive and response measures.
