The request is to enter student information via a strange link.
Speaking to a Thanh Nien reporter, Ms. N. Chau, a parent of a student at a kindergarten in District 12 (Ho Chi Minh City), said that yesterday afternoon, April 20th, she received a phone call from someone claiming to be a civil registry officer from the ward. The caller informed her that her child's identification code was missing information for the upcoming enrollment. They then requested that she update the information using a link provided. However, the parent had already followed the teacher's instructions to verify the information on the enrollment website and therefore did not comply with the instructions.
Meanwhile, the Board of Directors of Dong Khoi Secondary School (District 1) noted that there have been instances of individuals impersonating school administrators in the area, calling parents with the pretext of "requesting confirmation of level 2 identification codes for students" in order to facilitate enrollment at the beginning of the school year.
Therefore, the Board of Directors of Dong Khoi Secondary School issued an announcement on its fanpage with the following content:
"Recently, there have been instances in the area where individuals impersonate school administrators, calling parents under the pretext of 'requesting confirmation of level 2 student identification codes' for the purpose of enrolling students in the first grade."
These individuals request parents to provide personal information through suspicious links, leading to the theft of bank accounts and e-wallets, resulting in financial losses.
Therefore, to protect the rights of students and their families, Dong Khoi Secondary School announces the following to parents:
All information related to the enrollment process for the first grade will be announced through the school's official channels such as the website, text messages from homeroom teachers, or the school's admissions officer.
The school also emphasized that it absolutely does not request parents to provide personal information through phone calls or links from unknown sources.
Parents should be vigilant and refrain from providing personal information, bank account details, or performing any actions as instructed by suspicious calls or messages, in order to avoid being scammed.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training issues a warning.
Regarding the emergence of fraudulent impersonation cases related to primary school enrollment, in an interview with Thanh Nien newspaper on the morning of April 21, Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of the Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, affirmed that all localities in Ho Chi Minh City conduct primary school enrollment online through a single portal with the address tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn .
Accordingly, parents of students should complete the procedures for confirming information, registering for admission, and checking admission results for grades 1 and 6 on the aforementioned admission portal, following the instructions of the homeroom teacher and the school where their children are studying.
Specifically for 6-year-old children who are not attending preschool, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and the district/ward People's Committees direct the People's Committees of wards and communes to coordinate with the ward/commune police to collect and verify information about the children's actual residence, update the list on the system, and notify parents to confirm. Parents are not required to fill out any form or access any other information update link.
All information related to primary school enrollment will be clearly communicated to parents in writing by local authorities and schools, according to the plan of the Department of Education and Training. At this time, Ho Chi Minh City has also completed the review of primary school enrollment data. Parents should be vigilant and not provide personal information, bank account details, or perform any actions as instructed by unclear calls or messages, in order to avoid being scammed.
