On the afternoon of August 11th, the Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation (VEC) announced that from August 19th, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway will officially open an additional access point at the Ring Road 3 interchange (the section connecting to Nhon Trach bridge) along with a new toll station.

Located at km8 of the expressway, approximately 2.5km from the Long Phuoc toll station, the toll station is designed with 6 lanes (3 entry lanes, 3 exit lanes), applying electronic toll collection (ETC) and a hybrid toll collection model combining open and closed stations. Tolls are calculated based on distances of 4-7 km, depending on the entry and exit points.
Vehicles entering the expressway from Ring Road 3 or turning onto Ring Road 3 from Dong Nai will have their transactions recorded by the system at both open and closed toll stations, ensuring accurate and complete distance calculation without increasing costs compared to the current method.

This interchange is located approximately 3.5km from the Ring Road 2 interchange (Vo Chi Cong Street, Ho Chi Minh City). The commissioning of the toll station, along with the Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai section of Ring Road 3 (component project 1A), on August 19th aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.
Vehicles passing through the toll station will be charged fees according to Decree 130/2024/ND-CP, except for cases that are exempt.
