Assigning identification numbers for 3,000 hectares of crops.

This year, Thai Nguyen province plans to grant planting area codes for 3,000 hectares of various crops. For its main crop, tea, the province aims to have 24,000 hectares of tea by 2030, with 70% of that area having been granted planting area codes.

To achieve the set goals, the Provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection is guiding the establishment of planting areas; preparing dossiers for requesting planting area codes; and organizing inspections and supervision of the issuance of planting area codes to organizations and individuals. Thai Nguyen province has implemented the issuance of planting area codes quite effectively over the past two years. To date, the entire province has issued 95 planting area codes for over 558 hectares of crops, including 62 codes for tea cultivation, 23 codes for rice cultivation, 8 codes for fruit tree cultivation, 1 code for bamboo shoot cultivation, and 1 code for vegetable cultivation.
