Two new students who were admitted to the Naval Academy ( Ministry of Defense ) this year are twin brothers who share the same aspiration to become naval officers.

The two soldiers, Nguyen Ba Viet and Nguyen Ba Thang, look so alike that those meeting them for the first time would find it difficult to distinguish them. Although their families didn't have a military tradition, seeing the soldiers entering and leaving the Naval Academy every day, the two boys from Phuoc Dong commune, Nha Trang city ( Khanh Hoa province) coincidentally shared the same dream as the soldiers.
The image of a naval soldier grew stronger in Viet and Thang's minds, and becoming naval officers was no longer just a dream but a goal they aspired to. Some people, knowing their academic abilities, suggested they pursue other fields of study that would lead to better jobs and higher salaries, but the two brothers just smiled and shook their heads. While their friends were still deliberating between economics, accounting, or engineering, Viet and Thang were determined to "join the navy."
Despite their strong determination, the two brothers were a little worried about "what if they didn't pass" on the day of the exam, but they still wanted to prove their abilities. And the sweet reward came to the whole family; joy erupted when both twin sons passed with quite high scores.
“Entering the Naval Academy fulfills both my passion and my desire to hone my skills. I chose and want to become a naval officer because I hope to go to Truong Sa and contribute to protecting the sovereignty of our homeland's seas and islands,” Ba Viet shared.
On the day their two sons enrolled, their parents accompanied them to the academy's gate. Their mother, with tears in her eyes, hugged them proudly, while their father shook their hands firmly and advised them, "You will become naval officers, just as you wished." The younger brother, Bá Thắng, expressed, "Both of us were accepted into our dream major, and we believe that the military environment will help us grow and mature. We will definitely excel in our duties."
It seems the two of them have almost reached their dream of becoming naval officers, even though they know there is still a long process of learning, training, and continuous striving ahead, and there will be no shortage of difficulties. The first days in the military environment at the Naval Region 4 Training Center were filled with many uncertainties, but the twins were determined to train hard.
The journey to realizing dreams, filled with hope and affection, has just begun with a period of training before officially entering the main training program. Let's look forward to the five-year training journey leading up to the day we welcome two young naval officers, Nguyen Ba Viet and Nguyen Ba Thang, to join their comrades in protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands.
