
Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, said: Identifying relief and support for the people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters as one of the key tasks, the Fatherland Front at all levels has consistently monitored the situation, closely coordinated with the government and member organizations to promptly mobilize, receive, and distribute support resources. During implementation, the Fatherland Front at all levels has always ensured the principles of transparency, targeting the right beneficiaries and purposes, thereby promoting the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance within the community.
To effectively carry out relief efforts, the Fatherland Front at all levels strictly implements the relief process, from assessing to compiling detailed damage statistics, ensuring accuracy. Units compile lists of households in need of assistance, coordinate the timely allocation of relief resources to the right people, meeting the right needs, avoiding waste and errors. This process is conducted openly and transparently, with community oversight to maximize effectiveness and foster public consensus.

For example, after Typhoon No. 11 severely impacted the entire province, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province propagated and mobilized agencies, units, and all sectors of the population to support those affected by the typhoon. Simultaneously, it advised on the issuance of an open letter from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, appealing for support for those affected by the storm. Based on this, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province propagated and called for support from businesses, organizations, collectives, and individuals inside and outside the province to provide additional resources for local assistance. Currently, the provincial "Relief" Fund has received over 76 billion VND in donations and has spent over 64 billion VND to help people in the communes of the province severely affected by the typhoon.
Mr. Duong Huu Tuan, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nhat Hoa commune, said: After typhoon No. 11, more than 200 houses in the commune were flooded, nearly 80 houses were affected by landslides, and rice and other crops were damaged with a value of nearly 8 billion VND… To support the people, the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune proactively connected with and received support to distribute to affected people. To date, the commune has received and distributed many gifts including cash, necessities, drinking water… to people with a value of nearly 900 million VND.
In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels has also helped many families affected by fires and other incidents. From 2024 to the present, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has mobilized more than 240 billion VND and spent nearly 200 billion VND to support households affected by natural disasters, fires, and other risks. Specifically, from the beginning of 2025 to the present, the Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized nearly 80 billion VND and spent nearly 70 billion VND to promptly help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, stabilize their lives, and restore production.
Ms. Tran Thi Moc, from Goc Sau village, Thien Tan commune, shared: "The recent Typhoon No. 11 completely destroyed my family's single-story house. Thanks to the attention and connections of the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, my family received support from various organizations and benefactors totaling over 300 million VND. This valuable assistance has provided my family with the resources to rebuild our house and stabilize our lives."
Besides providing material support, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations also focus on providing moral support, helping people overcome difficulties after natural disasters and calamities. After completing relief efforts, the Fatherland Front at all levels continues to coordinate in monitoring the living conditions of the people, supervising the use of funds and materials provided as support, ensuring they are used for the right purposes and for the right beneficiaries.
It is evident that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has become an important bridge, sharing the compassion between charitable organizations and individuals and people facing difficulties in natural disasters, contributing to building a united and compassionate community.
