Chelsea fans love Palmer's eavesdropping.

Many Chelsea fans support Cole Palmer's alleged wiretapping as Manchester City players discussed their free-kick strategy at the end of the 4-4 draw in the 12th round of the Premier League.

In the 90+7th minute of the match on November 12th, after Raheem Sterling fouled Phil Foden, the referee awarded Manchester City a free kick. Another fan insisted Palmer wasn't joking when he approached the Man City players, but genuinely wanted to eavesdrop to figure out how to counter them. "Palmer was just trying to listen to Man City's conversation, but Haaland pushed him away," one fan wrote.

Two minutes before Sterling fouled Foden, Palmer had already taken the penalty to equalize 4-4 for Chelsea. Earlier, in the 23rd minute, the 21-year-old Englishman had even received a yellow card for missing a penalty just before Haaland took his kick.

Palmer is a product of Manchester City's academy. He played 41 games for the first team and scored six goals. However, in the summer of 2023, the 21-year-old decided to move to Chelsea to get more playing time. After joining for $50 million, Palmer has played 11 games and scored four goals for his new club.

Man City still lead the Premier League with 28 points after 12 matches, but are now only one point ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal. Meanwhile, Chelsea are in 10th place with 16 points. In their four matches against the top four this season, Pochettino's team drew 1-1 with Liverpool, 2-2 with Arsenal, 4-4 with Man City, and beat Tottenham 4-1.
