The impressive academic record of the valedictorian of the International Business major.
Recently, Vu Nhu Hoang Phu , a student from the English 02 International Business class, K59, achieved the highest GPA in the first graduation assessment period, becoming the valedictorian of the Institute of International Economics and Business, Foreign Trade University.
Sharing about his journey to achieving this accomplishment, Hoang Phu said: "When I took the university entrance exam, I really wanted to achieve outstanding results to make my parents proud. However, my results were only in the middle range. Because of that, I set a goal for myself to be the valedictorian of my major. For three years, I consistently pursued this goal."

Besides being the valedictorian, during his time at the Foreign Trade University, Hoang Phu also achieved many admirable accomplishments. He received the KKHT scholarship five times in a row, and the Aeon 1% corporate scholarship twice (2022, 2023). Furthermore, Hoang Phu authored an article published in the international journal International Journal of Empirical Finance and Management Science (March 2022) and another article published in the Journal of Economics and Forecasting (March 2024)...
This male student is the class president of the English 02 International Business class, K59, and the head of the first group of International Business K59. He has achieved many accolades, including: Outstanding Student of the entire university, commended at the opening ceremony for two consecutive academic years: 2021-2022 and 2022-2023; Third prize at the Ministry level in the "Youth Learning and Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" competition in 2022; 5 Good Student at the city level for two consecutive years (2022, 2023) and 5 Good Student at the university level for three consecutive years (2021, 2022, 2023)... Most notably, he won the Second prize at the Ministry level in the 2022 Scientific Research Competition.
Hoang Phu always believed that when he set a specific goal, he would always find a way to pursue it, and that was his most important secret. Success comes not only from personal effort but also from motivation from family, friends, school, and even a bit of luck. For him, achieving accomplishments will bring many benefits to himself in the future.

Hard work and effort will yield sweet rewards.
Born in Thai Binh province, Vu Nhu Hoang Phu was acutely aware of the importance of education and constantly strived for excellence. People appreciated Phu even more because his efforts as a student had paid off.
From his days studying at Quynh Coi High School, this village school student won second place in the weekly competition of the 19th season of "Road to Olympia" with a final score of 260 points. Hoang Phu said: "My thought when I registered for the 'Road to Olympia' competition was simply to have a chance to challenge myself, not to focus too much on achieving a high score. To be honest, I was quite worried that if I scored too low, it would affect the reputation of my family and school. But thanks to the encouragement of my homeroom teacher, I used it as motivation to try harder, making the most of my time to improve my knowledge to achieve the best possible result."
Hoang Phu further shared that studying at the Foreign Trade University was his dream: "Previously, my maternal grandfather studied at the Foreign Trade University for a period of time, so I have a soft spot for this school. In 2020, I was admitted to the International Business major through the method of reviewing academic transcripts combined with outstanding student achievements at the provincial/national level. Although my high school graduation exam scores were high enough to get into the top major, International Economics, I still don't regret choosing this major."

The male student from Thai Binh province also made a strong impression in extracurricular activities. In particular, he was well-liked by everyone for his enthusiasm, friendliness, and willingness to help others.
As a close friend of Phu's from his early days in high school to university, Nguyen Thu happily shared about Phu: "I admire Phu very much. He learns quickly, and because he's been a tutor for many years, his explanations are very easy to understand. Thanks to Phu's companionship and support in my studies, my results have improved significantly. In life, Phu is a responsible person, both towards himself, his family, and his work."
Hoang Phu's journey to success has been driven by the motivation of his family.
"Even when I'm stressed, just thinking about my goal and my parents gives me more motivation," Hoang Phu confided.
After graduating, Hoang Phu currently works for a large domestic corporation. In addition, Hoang Phu has many plans for the future, hoping to improve himself for the benefit of society and the community. Hoang Phu also advises young people to identify and persistently pursue their goals, as this is the key to success.
