| Officers from the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station, along with local leaders, visited and presented gifts to Phan Dinh Gia Khanh, his adopted son. |
Gia Khánh, born in 2011, is currently in 9th grade at Lộc Hòa Primary and Secondary School. His family is facing extreme hardship. His father passed away early, and his mother works as a day laborer from early morning until late at night. Sharing in the family's difficulties, the Hoa Lư International Border Gate Border Guard Station adopted Khánh as their foster child in 2019. "Besides providing him with 1 million VND per month, we also send officers to visit him weekly to check his books and academic results, and to guide him on study methods and how to solve difficult problems," said Senior Lieutenant Trương Văn Quý, Team Leader of the Community Mobilization Team at the Hoa Lư International Border Gate Border Guard Station.
In Hamlet 8a, Dieu Dy, born in 2011, is an orphan of the S'tieng ethnic group, a student at Loc Hoa Primary and Secondary School. She has been adopted by the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station, receiving support for her education for the past nine years due to her family's difficult circumstances. Looking at the list of students supported by the Border Guard Station, we were deeply moved to learn that many of those who received assistance from the Station since primary school are now students at the Provincial Ethnic Boarding School or university students. For example, Dieu Binh, born in 2007, of the S'tieng ethnic group in Hamlet 8c, is currently studying at the University of Agriculture and Forestry in Ho Chi Minh City. Thi Kim Huyen, born in 2009, of the S'tieng ethnic group in Suoi Thon hamlet, is currently in 12th grade at the Provincial Ethnic Boarding School... Notably, during the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station, in coordination with the local authorities, awarded 100 scholarships and white shirts, totaling approximately 110 million VND, to disadvantaged students in the area.
