Over the past years, the province has synchronously implemented many policies and action programs to protect, care for and educate children. All levels, sectors, organizations, and local authorities in the province have closely coordinated in effectively implementing programs such as: Action Program for Children, Program to support children in special circumstances, Quang Ninh Provincial Children's Fund, and countless volunteer activities from businesses, social organizations and kind-hearted people.
In particular, the Provincial Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans (PWD-TMC) has become a bridge to spread love to thousands of children in remote areas and ethnic minority areas. Every year, thousands of gifts including scholarships, bicycles, warm clothes, and learning equipment are given to the children; many charity houses are newly built or repaired, helping orphans and children with disabilities have a safe home and a stable life.
One of the touching cases is Ms. Phun Si Mui, Ngan Phe village, Luc Hon commune . Her husband died early due to a serious illness, leaving her alone to raise two small children in an old, dilapidated house that was at risk of collapsing at any time. Understanding her hardship, in October 2025, the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Handicapped mobilized clubs and volunteer groups to support 80 million VND to help her build a new house, expected to be completed in December 2025, opening up a warmer and safer start for the mother and her three children.

Not only that, the humanitarian movement in the community is increasingly spreading. Many individuals and businesses are willing to sponsor orphans long-term, supporting monthly tuition and living expenses. Typical cases include two Dao sisters, Dang Thi Diep Anh (15 years old) and Dang Vinh Truong (13 years old) in Dai Van village (Van Don Special Zone). Their mother left when they were young, and their father passed away in early 2025, leaving the two children to live with their elderly grandmother.
Sympathizing with that situation, the Provincial Association for the Support of the Disabled and Disabled has connected with Tam Duc Cam Pha Joint Stock Company to support 24 million VND per year (12 million VND per child/year) until the children turn 18 years old. That support is not only material, but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, giving the children the strength to rise up, continue to go to school and nurture their dreams.
According to statistics, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Disabled has sponsored 245 orphaned and disabled students in especially difficult circumstances in ethnic minority and mountainous areas with a total value of nearly 1.6 billion VND; supported the construction of 105 houses worth 5.8 billion VND; gave gifts, bicycles, and study corners to more than 5,000 children with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND. These numbers not only reflect the solidarity of the whole society, but also demonstrate the strong spread of humanity in the heroic mining land.

In addition, the youth union, women's union, and Red Cross organizations regularly organize visits, give gifts, and create playgrounds for children on holidays and Tet. These simple but loving activities help children feel the warmth of the community, have faith in life, and aspire to overcome adversity.
In the coming time, Quang Ninh province will continue to aim to improve the quality of care and education for children, especially vulnerable children in difficult areas. Because caring for children, especially orphans, disabled children, and children in ethnic minority areas, is not only the responsibility of the State, but also the good morality and ethics of the people of Quang Ninh.
Each gift, each notebook or word of encouragement sent to the children contributes to nurturing hope, enhancing their future, helping them to be confident on their journey to adulthood, becoming useful citizens, contributing to building an increasingly rich, beautiful, humane and civilized Quang Ninh.
