During a technical meeting before the competition, Le Quang Nhat, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Athletics Federation, shared his feelings, saying he was deeply moved that after many years, the 67th National Marathon Championship - Tien Phong Newspaper Cup was returning to Khanh Hoa.
This place was once the cradle of athletics, associated with the cross-country movement, the precursor to the tournaments of previous decades, with 12 editions where the team won first place overall. The most prominent name is none other than Pham Dinh Khanh Doan, the champion of the 800m race at the 20th SEA Games, and two gold medalists in the 800m and 150m races at the 21st SEA Games.
It is even more significant that the Tien Phong Marathon is returning to Khanh Hoa in its first year after the merger. However, this also means that the organizing committee faces many difficulties, due to both subjective and objective factors.

With over 12,000 athletes participating in a major tournament, unforeseen problems can always arise during preparation. However, thanks to all the effort and love for athletics, the tournament concluded successfully, bringing joy to everyone.
The success of the 67th Tien Phong Newspaper National Marathon Championship lies not only in the impressive professional results, the high-level and emotionally charged competitions, and the competitive nature of the race, but also in the harmonious blend of Khanh Hoa's natural beauty, the warmth of its people, and the power to spread positive values to the community.
That includes Nguyen Thi Oanh's "unbeatable" performance in the women's 5km race, Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa's outstanding effort in the grueling women's 42.195km marathon, and Hoang Nguyen Thanh's impressive comeback.
But above all, it's the shared spirit of amateur athletes and runners who come to the tournament not only for professional achievement but, more importantly, to explore their own limits.

And more importantly, through this tournament, love for the homeland, pride, and gratitude towards the older generation are increasingly fostered in the younger generation. Pham Dinh Khanh Doan shared that, in her youth, every time she and her teammates competed in the region, they were overcome with emotion when the Vietnamese flag was raised to the sound of the national anthem.
The flag-raising ceremony at the Tien Phong Marathon is always the most moving and sacred moment. Everything blends together to create the unique character of the Tien Phong Marathon.
