The Resolution of the First Party Congress of Chau Que Commune, for the term 2025-2030, adopted a consistent viewpoint: taking culture as the foundation, placing people at the center, and developing tourism in a sustainable direction, in line with the potential and advantages of the locality. In the very first year of implementing the resolution, this orientation was quickly concretized through synchronized programs, plans, and solutions, yielding positive initial results.

In line with the resolution, in 2025, the Party Committee and the government of Chau Que commune focused on directing the villages to implement various solutions to improve the effectiveness of tourism activities. The focus was on maximizing the existing values of the locality such as historical relics, traditional cultural spaces, folk festivals, distinctive cuisine , and natural landscapes.
The promotion and advertising of Chau Que's tourism image has been intensified through various forms. Besides billboards and posters along main roads, residential areas, and tourist attractions, the commune has strengthened promotion on social media platforms, gradually bringing the image of the people, scenery, and cultural identity of Chau Que closer to tourists from within and outside the province. Traditional cultural and sports events are organized in conjunction with tourism promotion activities, creating a widespread impact.
Simultaneously, the commune focuses on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values within the community. Many folk festivals and traditional cultural activities are restored, maintained, and organized systematically, linked to welcoming and serving tourists. Local culinary products and specialties are gradually being standardized and introduced as distinctive tourism products, creating a unique identity for Chau Que tourism.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the entire political system and the positive response of the people, tourism activities in Chau Que commune in 2025 achieved many remarkable results. The total number of tourists visiting the locality reached 21,500, completing 100% of the plan; revenue from tourism reached 12 billion VND, achieving 100% of the plan.
Tourism not only generates revenue but also gradually creates jobs, increases income for local people, and raises awareness of preserving heritage and maintaining cultural identity within the community.
Artisan Dang Thi Thanh, a member of the Xa Pho ethnic group who has been involved in preserving local traditional culture for many years, shared: “Previously, many cultural aspects only existed within the village. Now, thanks to the development of tourism, festivals, folk songs, and traditional cuisine are being restored and introduced more widely. People are not only proud but also have additional livelihoods from these values.”
A key highlight in the development of tourism in Chau Que is creating conditions for local people to directly participate and benefit. The commune encourages and supports households to expand various types of services, such as accommodation, food and beverage, and cultural experiences. Many families have boldly renovated their homes and built community-based accommodation models and restaurants that reflect the local identity.
These models not only generate additional income but also contribute to preserving traditional lifestyles, introducing the customs, practices, and way of life of the people of Chau Que to tourists. Along with this, the commune promotes the creation of a civilized and friendly tourism environment; encourages the people to maintain environmental hygiene, protect the landscape, and practice civilized behavior in tourism activities and festivals.
The resolution of the First Party Congress of Chau Que Commune set the goal for the term to attract 30,000 tourists, with revenue reaching 10.5 billion VND. To realize this goal, the commune has developed a specific plan with a roadmap and solutions suitable to the actual conditions.
Accordingly, in 2026 and subsequent years, Chau Que will continue to prioritize the preservation and promotion of historical relics and traditional cultural spaces; linking preservation with sustainable tourism development. Planning and management of tourist destinations will be strengthened to ensure harmonious development between economy, culture, and environment. The commune will also focus on improving the quality of human resources serving tourism through training in skills and knowledge of community tourism and cultural etiquette; while promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation in the promotion and introduction of tourism products.
In the overall development plan, the preservation and promotion of the value of Nhược Sơn Temple - a national historical relic - is given a crucial position. Preservation work is implemented in a comprehensive and systematic manner, not only restoring tangible structures but also focusing on preserving and restoring intangible values associated with the relic, such as traditional rituals and folk religious practices.

Through this, Nhược Sơn Temple continues to affirm its role as a place for educating about revolutionary traditions and fostering national pride, especially among the younger generation. The commune aims to link the historical site with the development of cultural, spiritual, and ecological tourism, ensuring a harmonious balance between preservation and exploitation, avoiding commercialization, and maintaining its solemnity and inherent identity.
Along with historical relics, Chau Que focuses on effectively exploiting the potential of its natural landscapes. The cloud-watching spot in Ao Ech village, with its high altitude, wide views, and majestic scenery, is becoming an attractive destination, drawing many tourists, especially in winter and summer.

Furthermore, the advantage of possessing thousands of hectares of vast, lush cinnamon forests has been identified as a unique resource for developing ecotourism and agricultural experiential tourism. These cinnamon forests not only provide a major economic value but also become a unique experiential space, allowing visitors to learn about cinnamon – a product closely intertwined with the lives and culture of the people of Chau Que.

Comrade Le Quang Dao, Chairman of the Chau Que Commune People's Committee, affirmed: "Developing tourism in conjunction with preserving and promoting traditional cultural values is a consistent policy of the commune. The results achieved in 2025 show that this is the right direction, suitable to the local conditions and potential. In the coming time, the commune will continue to concretize the Resolution of the Party Congress with practical programs and plans, mobilizing the participation of the people, and building Chau Que tourism to develop sustainably and effectively."
With the determination of the Party Committee and the government, the consensus of the people, and the initial results achieved, Chau Que is gradually asserting its position as a destination rich in identity, where traditional cultural values are preserved, promoted, and disseminated through tourism development. This is an important foundation for the locality to successfully implement the goals set forth in the Resolution of the First Party Congress of the commune, contributing to building Chau Que into an increasingly developed, civilized, and sustainable place.
