Apartment fire in Ho Chi Minh City

On the evening of September 20th, the Ho Chi Minh City Police, in coordination with the Duc Nhuan Ward Police and other relevant units, investigated the cause of the fire in an apartment on the 11th floor of the Golden Maison apartment building (Duc Nhuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

Initial reports indicate that at approximately 6:45 PM on the same day, a fire broke out in an apartment on the 11th floor of block GM2 of this apartment building. Black smoke spread along the corridors and outside the 22-story building. Many families living in the building gathered their belongings and carried their young children as they fled through the emergency stairwells.

Upon hearing the fire alarm, residents quickly ran downstairs from the apartment building.

Upon receiving the report, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Fire and Rescue Force dispatched numerous fire trucks and dozens of firefighters to the scene. The firefighters quickly extinguished the fire in about 10 minutes, while also thoroughly searching to ensure no one was trapped.

The cause and extent of the damage from the fire are currently under investigation.
