To ensure that families receiving social welfare benefits, poor households, and those in difficult circumstances in the area can celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026 fully and warmly, the border commune of Khánh Hưng has implemented many practical and meaningful activities. This year, Ms. Lê Thị Sánh (residing in Bàu Sen hamlet, Khánh Hưng commune) is very happy to receive meaningful gifts from the local authorities.

The border commune of Hung Dien also organized many activities to care for people during Tet (Lunar New Year), especially policy beneficiary families, poor households, and children with particularly difficult circumstances. In addition to the prescribed benefits, the commune also mobilized organizations and individuals to donate nearly 1,400 gifts, worth more than 900 million VND, to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and households with difficult circumstances.
According to Tran Quoc Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Dien commune: "Taking care of the poor and families entitled to preferential policies during Tet is a practical way to implement social welfare policies, demonstrating the humanity and fine traditions of Vietnamese people every time Tet comes around. This helps them gain more motivation to strive and improve their lives."
Along with taking care of people's lives, to maintain peace and security on the border front lines so that people can celebrate the Lunar New Year, units stationed in border areas are strengthening their duty rosters and deploying forces to patrol and guard the border.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Toan, Commander of Song Trang Border Guard Station, said: “In the spirit of ‘enjoying the spring but not forgetting our duties,’ the station ensures strict maintenance of combat readiness, command duty, and duty officer duties; regularly deploys forces to patrol and guard the border; strengthens forces in key areas; closely monitors the situation both inside and outside the border; and coordinates with functional forces and localities to maintain security and order in the area.”

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nam, Political Officer of My Thanh Tay Border Guard Station, to ensure that people can enjoy a peaceful Lunar New Year, the station has developed and strictly implemented a plan to enhance combat readiness and protect the safety of the station and its area of operation, ensuring that 100% of its officers and soldiers are fully prepared. In addition, the station organized many practical activities, presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and poor households in the area, and effectively carried out ideological work, creating favorable conditions for officers and soldiers to enjoy the Lunar New Year at the unit.
