Garnacho has no future at Chelsea. |
The decision stems from a disappointing season for the young Argentinian talent at Stamford Bridge. According to the English media, "The Blues" are willing to let Garnacho go for less than £40 million after just one season.
Joining Chelsea on the final day of the September transfer window, Garnacho was expected to be a breakthrough option on the wing. However, he has yet to live up to expectations, having scored only one Premier League goal and a total of eight goals and four assists across all competitions.
Under manager Liam Rosenior, Garnacho's opportunities have been further reduced. Since the manager took over the team in early January, the 21-year-old has only started four Premier League matches. Rosenior prefers to use Pedro Neto on the left wing, while new signing Jamie Gittens is also part of the long-term plans despite being injured.
Garnacho once desperately wanted to play for Chelsea. His agent worked with the London club several times before the deal was finalized. However, inconsistent form and fierce competition caused him to gradually lose his position.
Recently, Garnacho admitted that his final time at MU was marked by mistakes. He publicly criticized manager Ruben Amorim after the Europa League final and was left out of the first-team plans. Attitude issues also led to him being dropped from the matchday squad at times.
Nevertheless, Rosenior still highly values Garnacho's potential, emphasizing that the most important factor for the young player is consistency. Currently, the Argentine's future remains uncertain, with Chelsea willing to listen to transfer offers.
Interestingly, Garnacho's former club is looking for a left winger for next season.
