Recognizing that building a cultural life is an important task, the Party Branch of Hamlet No. 8 focuses on mobilizing the people to effectively implement the movement of national unity in building a cultural life, laying the foundation for the movement of national unity in building new rural areas and civilized urban residential areas.
According to Ngo Quang Thanh, Party Branch Secretary and Head of Hamlet No. 8: “To build a cultural life and implement the criteria for building new rural areas to improve people's lives, the Party branch must first pay attention to and effectively carry out social welfare work. At the same time, to accurately assess the situation of poor and near-poor households and provide timely support, the Party branch also mobilizes philanthropists and organizations to work together to care for each disadvantaged situation, support livelihoods, build or repair houses, and give gifts to poor families or those facing sudden difficulties.”
Since the beginning of the year, the leadership of Hamlet No. 8 has raised 5 million VND for the poor; mobilized funds to build 7 new houses with a total cost of 455 million VND, exceeding the target by 4 houses; raised 19 million VND to repair 2 bridges; and donated 870 gift packages worth a total of 174 million VND. The hamlet established a Scholarship Fund, annually supporting disadvantaged students with excellent academic performance with approximately 30 million VND. Regularly receiving attention and support from the local government, Ms. Le Thi Mau, a resident of Hamlet No. 8, shared: “My family is very poor, without land to cultivate, so we are constantly struggling financially. Thanks to the hamlet's leadership's concern and efforts in mobilizing benefactors to donate gifts and provide essential supplies, we have overcome this difficult time.”
Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son Kien commune, officials and people of Hamlet No. 8 donated nearly 43 million VND, 1.6 tons of rice, and many other necessities worth over 53 million VND to support people in the North and Central regions affected by natural disasters... “Whenever the hamlet leaders mobilize support for the poor and carry out social welfare projects, my family enthusiastically responds and contributes within our means, because we see that these activities bring practical benefits to the community. I think that if everyone contributes a little to support the poor, the lives of the people will get better and better,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan, a resident of Group 4.
Besides caring for the people's lives, the Party Branch of Hamlet No. 8 has intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage people to actively participate in maintaining security, order, and environmental protection; and building a green, clean, and beautiful residential area. Many projects and tasks of the hamlet, groups, and households have been positively received by the people. Currently, the main roads in the hamlet are concreted to a width of 2-3.5m, ensuring easy travel and trade for the people. Hamlet No. 8 has 896 households that have achieved the title of "Cultural Family," reaching 96% of the households registered at the beginning of the year.
According to Mr. Ngo Quang Thanh, in order to successfully implement movements and campaigns, Party members must lead by example, setting an example so that the people will trust and follow. When Party members are exemplary, the Party branch is strong, and the people trust them, the material and spiritual lives of the people will improve. Many social welfare projects in the hamlet have received the consensus of the people. The people are willing to contribute labor, donate land, and contribute funds to complete the projects.
Building on the achievements, the Party Branch of Hamlet No. 8 continues to promote propaganda, build a self-governing community, and implement the emulation movement and campaigns even better, aiming for the hamlet to have no poor households, an increase in well-off and wealthy households, and to reduce social evils… At the same time, it encourages the development and regular maintenance of cultural, physical education, and sports activities, preserves beautiful rituals and customs, and pushes back against outdated customs… With these achievements, the Party Branch of Hamlet No. 8 was awarded a certificate of merit by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for its outstanding achievements in implementing the nationwide movement for solidarity in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas in 2025.
