Identifying the building of cultural life as an important task, the Party Cell of Hamlet So Tam focuses on mobilizing people to effectively carry out the movement of the entire people uniting to build a cultural life, as a foundation for implementing the movement of the entire people uniting to build new rural areas and civilized urban residential areas.
Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of Hamlet No. 8 Ngo Quang Thanh said: “To build a cultural life, implement the criteria for building new rural areas to improve people's lives, first of all, the Party Cell must pay attention to and do well the work of social security. At the same time, grasp the situation of poor and near-poor households to have timely support solutions, the Party Cell also mobilizes philanthropists and organizations to join hands to take care of each difficult situation, support livelihoods, build new houses, repair houses, give gifts to poor families or families facing sudden difficulties."
Since the beginning of the year, the leadership of Hamlet So Tam has mobilized 5 million VND for the poor; mobilized to build 7 new houses, with a total cost of 455 million VND, exceeding the target by 4 houses; mobilized 19 million VND to repair 2 bridges; donated 870 gifts, with a total value of 174 million VND. The hamlet established a Scholarship Fund, annually supporting students with difficult circumstances with about 30 million VND. Regularly receiving attention and support from the local government, Ms. Le Thi Mau, resident of Hamlet So Tam, shared: “My family is very poor, without land to cultivate, so we are in a state of shortage. Thanks to the attention of the hamlet leadership, mobilizing benefactors to give gifts and support with necessities to help us overcome this difficult time.”
Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son Kien commune, the cadres and people of Hamlet So Tam supported the people of the North and Central regions who suffered losses due to natural disasters with nearly 43 million VND; 1.6 tons of rice and many necessities with a total value of over 53 million VND... "Every time the hamlet leaders mobilized to support the poor and carry out social security projects, my family responded enthusiastically and contributed within our capacity, because we saw that these activities brought practical benefits to the community. I think that if everyone has the conditions to contribute a little to support the poor, people's lives will become better and better", said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan, resident of Hamlet 4.
In addition to taking care of people's lives, Hamlet So Tam Party Cell has increased propaganda and mobilized people to actively participate in maintaining security, order and protecting the environment; building green, clean and beautiful residential areas. Many works of hamlets, groups and households have received positive responses from people. Currently, the main roads in the hamlet are concreted from 2 to 3.5m, ensuring easy travel and trade for people. Hamlet So Tam has 896 households achieving the title of "Cultural Family", reaching 96% of households registered since the beginning of the year.
According to Mr. Ngo Quang Thanh, to mobilize and implement movements and campaigns, party members must go first, do it first, then people will believe and follow. When party members are exemplary, party cells are strong, and people trust, the material and spiritual life of the people will be increasingly improved. Many social security projects in the hamlet have the consensus of the people. People are willing to contribute working days, donate land, and contribute funds to complete the projects together.
Promoting the achieved results, the Party Cell of Hamlet So Tam continues to promote propaganda, build a self-governing residential community, increasingly better implement the campaign, emulation movement, towards the hamlet having no poor households, increasing the number of well-off and rich households; limiting social evils... At the same time, encourage the development, regularly maintain the movement of arts, physical education, sports, preserve beautiful rituals and customs; push back backward customs... With the achieved achievements, the collective Party Cell of Hamlet So Tam was awarded a certificate of merit by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for its outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign of the whole people uniting to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in 2025.
