Right from its premiere, The Face Vietnam 2023 caused a stir with Minh Triệu and Kỳ Duyên's fierce competition for a spot next to each other. This greatly annoyed the two mentors of the other teams, supermodels Anh Thư and Vũ Thu Phương.

In episode 3 of the show, supermodel Anh Thư continued to bring up this conflict, sparking a debate among viewers.

Anh Thu appeared and demanded that Ky Duyen and Minh Trieu apologize.

Specifically, in episode 3, Coach Anh Thư's team won the continuous catwalk challenge and had the right to "save" one member from the other teams. When entering the waiting room to announce which team's member would be "saved," Anh Thư observed the contestants and expressed dissatisfaction with the attitudes of Kỳ Duyên and Minh Triệu:

"Kỳ Duyên and Minh Triệu are very arrogant. When Thư appeared, no one greeted her, and they both looked haughty, completely the opposite of Vũ Thu Phương's team's attitude," the supermodel commented.

With this attitude, Anh Thu directly asked her two juniors: "Ky Duyen, Minh Trieu, I noticed that neither of you greeted me." In response, Minh Trieu said that she felt Anh Thu was embodying a certain character and didn't know whether she should interrupt her senior's performance. As for why Vu Thu Phuong's team still greeted Anh Thu, it was because their interpretation differed from Minh Trieu's.

Anh Thu stated bluntly: "I still haven't received an apology from either of you."

In response to this attitude, Anh Thu continued to question the two younger artists: "I want to ask Ky Duyen and Minh Trieu, regarding the photoshoot for the logo, from that time until now, I still haven't received an apology from either of you."

When questioned directly by their senior, Ky Duyen and Minh Trieu both stood up. Minh Trieu, representing the group, shared: "I'm very happy that Thu gave us the opportunity to clarify all the misunderstandings between the four of us."

First, I would like to apologize to both of you. Kỳ Duyên and I have always had to stand for photos, whether sitting or standing. From our perspective, we thought it was natural for us to be in the same group."

The attitudes of Ky Duyen and Minh Trieu angered Anh Thu.

Hearing this, Anh Thu interrupted her juniors irritably, but Vu Thu Phuong stood up to calm her down. Minh Trieu then continued, "Our main purpose was to emphasize that our group is only two people. But if that caused you any inconvenience, as juniors, we wouldn't hesitate to apologize."

Minh Triệu then went on to mention what happened during the fencing photoshoot with Vũ Thu Phương. Kỳ Duyên also apologized for interrupting the program and causing inconvenience to everyone.

Despite her juniors' apology, Anh Thư still seemed dissatisfied: " Finally, everyone heard the apology. You guys should have done it sooner to avoid causing resentment among those around you. I always respect my juniors, that's why I agreed to do this program."

Anh Thu also stated frankly: "I've never competed for a position with you guys. The point I want to emphasize here is your attitude at that time. But you guys were very rude. You've been saying sorry all this time, but your faces look like this. Your words don't match your actions."

Because they couldn't find common ground, Minh Triệu decided to respect Anh Thư's decision to eliminate a contestant from her team. Regarding the conflict with her senior, Minh Triệu said she would offer a sincere apology to Anh Thư later.

"On behalf of the group, I promise to offer our sincerest apologies to Ms. Thu in a different way. When I offer an apology, I want the recipient to understand it. I don't want it to be simply a matter of saying it and being done with it. I could act out that, but I don't want to."

After the debate, Minh Triệu affirmed that she would keep her promise because, in her eyes, Anh Thư is a lovely senior and she still wants to maintain this relationship. Thus, the conflict from episode 1 among the The Face coaches has not been completely resolved.
