People's income mainly depends on agricultural production. Some areas are often flooded in the rainy season and lack water for production in the dry season. People are still confused in choosing suitable crops and livestock.

Faced with these difficulties, local authorities have implemented many solutions to change the structure of crops and livestock to suit the actual situation; opened training courses, improved knowledge, helped people grasp techniques and markets; strengthened social security work...

Among them, Ktluot hamlet is the hamlet with the highest rate of poor and near-poor households in the commune. The hamlet has 117 households, more than 78% of which are poor and near-poor households. Ms. H'Króc Kbuôr, head of Ktluot hamlet, shared that people's lives are still difficult due to the limited area of cultivated land in the commune. Most of the crops and livestock that people are growing have low economic value; production is fragmented. Unpredictable climatic conditions also have a significant impact on production.

Farmers' Association visits fabric model

Poor and near-poor households are mostly families without land for production, and their income mainly depends on hired labor. In recent years, people in the village have received much support from government projects and programs and local assistance, and have implemented livestock and crop models. To create sustainable livelihoods for households here, the locality must focus on equipping people with knowledge and conditions for caring for livestock and crops.

According to Mr. Y Phen Byă, in order to create positive changes in poverty reduction and improve people's lives, the locality is continuing to review and adjust appropriate economic models and coordinate with specialized units to provide technical training, instruct production in line with the market, and stabilize product output. At the same time, it is taking advantage of investment resources to complete essential infrastructure, creating a foundation for local socio-economic development.

In addition, propaganda is being stepped up to change the mindset and arouse the determination of local people to rise up. With the support of authorities at all levels and capital from programs and projects, the locality is striving for the goal of sustainable poverty reduction in the coming time.
