Chieng Noi preserves Muong culture.

In Chieng Noi area, Thanh Son commune, over 70% of the population are Muong ethnic people, possessing many unique cultural features that are still preserved and promoted, from their language, costumes, folk performing arts, and traditional stilt houses. In particular, the effective operation of the Muong ethnic cultural club in Chieng Noi area has contributed to preserving, transmitting, and promoting the beauty of Muong culture through gong and drum performances, drum dances, folk songs, and coin dances.

The Muong Chieng Noi Ethnic Culture Club has over 50 members and regularly performs gong and drum music at cultural events of the province and the commune.

Club members perform the drum-throwing dance at the Thach Khoan Temple Festival.

The Ví Rang folk song is closely associated with the cultural and spiritual life of the Muong ethnic group.

The Shengqian Dance

Driven by a love for their ethnic culture, Nguyen Thi Kim Yen, the head of the Muong ethnic culture club, along with its members, has been teaching the Senh Tien dance to the children in the area.

The traditional stilt house of the Muong ethnic group was built in the grounds of the community center with contributions from local residents and their children living away from home. It serves as a community gathering place and a display area for traditional musical instruments, costumes, and tools characteristic of the Muong people's work and production.

Beside the traditional stilt house is a space for performing dances and songs that reflect the rich cultural identity of the Muong people.
