The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT-DL) has assigned the Cinema Department to take the lead and coordinate with film studios, the People's Army Cinema, Departments of Culture and Sports, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, film distribution and screening centers, cinema centers, cultural centers, etc., in provinces and centrally-administered cities to organize a film screening event to commemorate the major holidays of April 30th, May 1st, May 7th, and May 19th nationwide.
The documentary film "Journey Through History" was produced by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Company Limited in 2024 and has a running time of 33 minutes.
The films selected for screening during the film series include: the feature film *Memories of Dien Bien Phu *, produced by Vietnam Feature Film Studio; the documentary *Victory at Dien Bien Phu*, produced by the People's Army Film Studio; *Dien Bien Phu, Accompanying History*, produced by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Company Limited; and the animated films *The Green Forest in Fury* and *The Mischievous Old Woman*, produced by Vietnam Animation Film Company Limited.
The Film Department will also organize the printing of selected films for screening in HD format onto hard drives to send to all film units using HD projectors (1 hard drive/1 unit); and print DVDs to send to units that do not have HD projectors (40 discs/episode) to serve the audience.
In addition, film production units are responsible for continuing to re-release films with appropriate content from previous film festivals and film weeks organized by the Film Department, in order to continue showing films to serve the audience.
According to the plan, this special film screening will be held from April 30th to May 20th.
