Taking place from October 4th to 7th (corresponding to August 13th to 16th in the lunar calendar), the program is held at the Ministry of Interior (Hue Imperial Citadel) and many central streets, combining traditional and modern spaces to recreate the atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival of the past.

The highlight of the festival is the Lion and Dragon dance performance and the Mid-Autumn Festival lantern procession on the afternoon of October 4th, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Lion dance troupes, artists from the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theatre, and students from junior high schools in Phu Xuan ward will participate in the parade along major roads, starting from Nghinh Luong Dinh, passing through Tran Hung Dao Street - Gia Hoi Bridge - Trinh Cong Son Park. Several stops, such as Truong Tien Bridge, Phuong Nam Bookstore, and the intersection of Tran Hung Dao - Huynh Thuc Khang - Phan Dang Luu, will feature performances for the public.

On the nights of October 6th and 7th, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM, the lantern-lit area at the Ministry of Interior will be illuminated with dazzling lights. Visitors can admire Bao La's woven bamboo lanterns, CAN Studio's folding lanterns, or traditional lanterns made by artisans from Gifu Prefecture (Japan). Along with that, there will be traditional court games such as head-to-head games, card games, fortune telling, and calligraphy workshops, creating a bonding and educational space that evokes the beauty of traditional Mid-Autumn Festival.

In particular, the program The Royal Palace Full Moon Night, taking place from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM on October 6th and 7th at the stage behind the Ministry of Interior building, promises to be a captivating cultural and artistic feast.

The organizers stated that all activities are free to enter, with no entrance fee. Visitors arriving by car will enter through the Hoa Binh gate, while those walking or riding motorbikes will enter through the Hien Nhon gate. Admission is from 7 PM to 8 PM.

"The Hue Imperial Palace Mid-Autumn Festival 2025" is not only a playground for children but also an opportunity for visitors from near and far to gain a deeper understanding of the traditional cultural beauty of the ancient capital.
