This is the ninth consecutive year that the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has collaborated with the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) to organize the tournament.
The tournament features eight strong teams from across the country, including: Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Son Bac, Sahako , Hanoi , Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Titans Ho Chi Minh City, Luxury Ha Long, and Ho Chi Minh City Youth.
The teams are divided into two groups, with four teams in each group, and play a round-robin format to determine the standings.
Accordingly, the top two teams from each group will advance to compete for the championship.
In the semi-finals, the winner of Group A will face the runner-up of Group B, and the winner of Group B will face the runner-up of Group A.
Meanwhile, the two teams ranked third will compete for fifth place, while the two teams at the bottom of each group will compete for seventh place.
In the 2024 season, Thai Son Bac caused a major surprise by winning the championship after a 10-1 victory over Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City in the final.
Meanwhile, Sahako defeated Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh City 5-0 to secure third place.
As the national champions and considered the top contender for the title, Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City will be determined to win the highest award.
Meanwhile, defending champions Thai Son Bac will face considerable pressure in their quest to retain the title, especially from the competition from Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City.
This year, the tournament is being held earlier than usual, just over a month after the HDBank National Futsal Championship 2025 concludes.
The shortened duration of the tournament aims to facilitate the Vietnamese Futsal team's preparation for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship Qualifiers, which will take place from September 20 to 24.
All matches of the HDBank National Futsal Cup 2025 will be broadcast live on SCTV 17 S-Sport, ON-VFamily (VTVcab), radio on VOV1, VOV2, VOV Traffic, etc., and streamed online on VOV Electronic Newspaper, VTCNews, VOVLive digital content system, VFF and other digital platforms authorized by the Organizing Committee.
The opening ceremony of the HDBank National Futsal Cup 2025 was held at 5:30 PM on August 3rd at the competition venue.
