This is the 9th consecutive year that the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has coordinated with the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) to organize the tournament.
The tournament has the participation of 8 strong teams across the country, including: Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Son Bac, Sahako , Hanoi , Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Titans Ho Chi Minh City, Luxury Ha Long and Tre Ho Chi Minh City.
The teams are divided into 2 groups of 4 teams each, playing a round robin to score points.
Accordingly, the first and second teams of each group will advance to compete for the championship.
In the semi-finals, the first team of Group A will meet the second team of Group B and the first team of Group B will meet the second team of Group A.
Meanwhile, the two third-placed teams will compete for 5th place, while the two bottom teams in each group will compete for 7th place.
In the 2024 season, Thai Son Bac caused a big surprise when they won the championship after a 10-1 victory over Thai Son Nam TP.HCM in the final.
Meanwhile, Sahako beat Tan Hiep Hung TP.HCM 5-0 to win third place.
As the national champion and considered the number 1 candidate for the championship, Thai Son Nam TP.HCM will be determined to win the highest title.
Meanwhile, defending champion Thai Son Bac will face a lot of pressure in the journey to defend the throne, especially competition from Thai Son Nam TP.HCM.
This year, the tournament was held earlier than usual, just over a month after the 2025 HDBank National Futsal Championship ended.
The shortened organization time is to create favorable conditions for the Vietnam Futsal team to prepare for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship Qualifiers, taking place from September 20 to 24.
All matches of the 2025 National Futsal HDBank Cup will be broadcast live on SCTV 17 S-Sport, ON-VFamily (VTVcab), broadcast on VOV1, VOV2, VOV Giao thong,... and streamed online on VOV e-newspaper, VTCNews, VOVLive digital content system, VFF and digital platforms provided with signals by the Organizing Committee.
The opening ceremony of the 2025 National Futsal HDBank Cup will be held at 5:30 p.m. on August 3 at the competition venue.
