Son Tra Peninsula is located in Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District. It boasts pristine landscapes and abundant natural resources. With the peninsula bordered by the sea on three sides, it offers numerous tourism activities closely linked to nature.

Each time of year, Son Tra has its own unique charm. From March to September, the weather is dry and sunny, ideal for tourists to participate in activities such as swimming, trekking, and watching the sunset.

Trekking and swimming at Mui Nghe.

Located on the eastern side of the Son Tra peninsula, Mui Nghe still retains its pristine natural beauty, untouched by human intervention. To reach the natural lake at Mui Nghe, visitors must trek through the primeval forest for about 30 minutes.

The forest trail is not too steep and is surrounded by ancient trees with wide canopies, making it quite cool. During the trek, visitors have the opportunity to explore the rich flora and admire rare animals listed in the Red Book, such as the brown-footed langur, the wild cat, and the silver-cheeked civet.

After following the trail, visitors need another 10-15 minutes to traverse a bumpy, rocky path to reach the natural lake. This section is short but rough and prone to tripping.

Upon reaching Mũi Nghê, a crystal-clear, emerald-green lake unfolds before the eyes of visitors. It is surrounded on all sides by majestic rocky cliffs, their surfaces roughened by sea erosion. Prominent among them are two towering rock formations resembling two sea lions facing the ocean.

Visitors can enjoy swimming in the cool water, snorkeling to admire the coral reefs, and even touching small fish. Sitting on the rocks, enjoying snacks, or fishing in the open sea are also worthwhile experiences when visiting this place.

Nguyen Minh Tan, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "The scenery at Mui Nghe is worth the arduous trekking journey. What I found most wonderful was the peaceful, quiet atmosphere because there were few tourists. I didn't swim, but sitting on the rocks and gazing at the sea from above was also very enjoyable."

Enjoy the sea view from Black Rock Beach.

Black Rock Beach is located near the famous thousand-year-old banyan tree on Son Tra Peninsula.

As its name suggests, this place features numerous dark, oddly shaped rocks clustered together, jutting out into the sea. On either side of the rocky beach are lush green meadows, the sea is clear blue, and the mountains are covered in trees.

The pristine beauty and peaceful atmosphere here are what attract tourists. Besides enjoying the cool sea breeze and watching the waves crash against the shore, visitors can also admire the sunset. The grassy area next to the rocks is also quite flat and clean, suitable for picnics and light meals with friends.

At Da Den Beach, there are several other activities such as snorkeling, jet skiing, and banana boat rides. Visitors can rent snorkeling equipment or hire a speedboat to go out to sea for snorkeling at a price of about 250,000 VND per person. A combo of snorkeling, jet skiing, and banana boat rides costs about 400,000 VND per person.

Picnic by the Stone Stream

Suoi Da (Stone Stream) is a prominent picnic spot located on Luong Huu Khanh Street on Son Tra Peninsula. This stream is hidden within a dense forest, surrounded by trees, resulting in a cool atmosphere year-round.

The water in the Stone Stream flows underground through the rocky bed upstream, then suddenly emerges as a powerful torrent cascading down the middle of the waterfall, merging into a clear stream. Surrounding the stream are massive, stacked rocks.

If visitors enjoy immersing themselves in the clear, clean water downstream during the summer, Suoi Da (Stone Stream) is an ideal choice. In addition, visitors can also have picnics, barbecue on the large rocks, breathe in the fresh air, and listen to the birds singing.

Having recently visited Suoi Da, tourist Ta Phan Khanh Thy (from Binh Dinh province) said that Suoi Da is not yet well-known to many tourists, so it's quite peaceful. "I placed a chair on a rock. Sitting in the middle of the forest, with the sound of the babbling stream in my ears, made my mind feel calm. Next time I come, I'll bring some ingredients to cook," the female tourist said.

Check-in at Tien Sa Lighthouse

Tien Sa Lighthouse is located about 20 km from the center of Da Nang , on the slopes of Son Tra mountain and almost completely isolated from the bustling city.

The Tien Sa Lighthouse was built in 1902 in a style that blends classic French architecture with modern touches. Currently, the lighthouse remains operational, guiding ships at night. Standing approximately 15 meters tall and 2.7 meters wide above sea level, it is painted in alternating yellow and white. The grounds are planted with many trees and have neatly manicured lawns.

With a 14-nautical-mile view, standing on the balcony of the Tien Sa lighthouse, visitors can admire the majestic natural beauty of the Son Tra peninsula and the modernity of Da Nang city.
