- Along with the election service forces, the provincial health sector has proactively developed plans and prepared personnel, supplies, and equipment to ensure medical services for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
These days, at the cultural center of Block 14, Ky Lua Ward - the chosen polling station - ward health station officials are coordinating with the election committee to check environmental hygiene conditions, review the list of elderly voters; and arrange medical stations and essential equipment... to promptly handle any unforeseen situations.
Dr. Vi Minh Duc, Director of Ky Lua Ward Health Station, said: "We have completed the review of all 47 polling stations in the area, developed an emergency response plan, prepared sufficient medical kits and blood pressure monitors, and assigned staff to shifts."

Along with the Ky Lua Ward Health Station, other health facilities in the area have proactively developed plans to ensure readiness to perform their duties before, during, and after election day. Mr. Hoang Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, stated: "The department has proactively developed a detailed plan, clearly assigning responsibilities to each unit, and preparing sufficient personnel, medical supplies, equipment, and vehicles. The goal is to ensure timely handling of any unforeseen situations, avoiding any medical emergencies, and contributing to a safe election day."
Provincial hospitals organize on-site emergency services, ready to support lower-level facilities, and prepare 5 to 10 beds along with a supply of medicines and equipment to promptly receive and treat emergency cases.
At regional health centers, specific plans for mobile emergency response, disease prevention, food poisoning, and injury prevention are developed according to their assigned areas; medical equipment, supplies, and medicines for treatment and emergency care are fully prepared. Commune health stations coordinate with election committees to review elderly voters and those with underlying health conditions to monitor their health and set up medical stations at polling stations.
In addition, disease prevention and control efforts have been implemented comprehensively throughout the province. The Provincial Center for Disease Control has been strengthening communication on environmental hygiene, disease prevention, and food safety; providing guidance on hygiene and disinfection at 100% of polling stations; and preparing sufficient chemicals and supplies for timely handling in case of disease outbreaks. The Provincial International Health Quarantine Center is proactively coordinating with forces at border gates and checkpoints to control the risk of disease entry during the election period. Food safety assurance is also being strengthened with inter-agency inspection teams before, during, and after the election; monitoring and early detection of food contamination risks, and preparing response plans in case of incidents.
With proactive and coordinated preparations from the provincial level to the grassroots, the provincial health sector has been striving to contribute to ensuring the election is safe and successful.
