Compared to the time of Marx, the world today has had a lot of changes, the world revolutionary movement also has many ups and downs, unpredictable fluctuations, but it does not go beyond the common laws that C. As a result, Marxism became a scientific and revolutionary doctrine, providing people with a complete worldview, without compromising with any superstition or a reactionary force in society. .

Although it was born nearly 200 years ago and has always suffered from many attacks and oppositions of bourgeois and hostile ideas, the views of Marx in particular and Marxism-Leninism in general still have sustainable vitality and lasting value.

That vitality is expressed in that it has answered the problems posed by the progressive thought of mankind, illuminating the ripe historical tasks of mankind. It is the task of liberating people from all forms of oppression, exploitation, and alienation.

In the current situation, the vitality of Marxism-Leninism is also reflected in the fact that it is from the Western capitalist countries that there are many researches on the values ​​of Marxism and of science. Marxist economic theory. Movements of "returning to Marx", "seeking to read Marx" have arisen in many countries which have always tended to be anti-Marxist.

Especially, during the period of financial crisis and global economic recession 2008-2009, public debt crisis and economic recession in many developed capitalist countries, the movement "return to Marxism" ”, “reading and reading Marx” became more exciting than ever.

The classics of Marxism are still the most widely read, especially the series "Capital" which is still ranked No. 1 in the world and is currently translated into 134 languages ​​in 63 countries.

Therefore, it cannot be misrepresented that Marxism is an "illusory" doctrine, which is "outdated and outdated" when it is this doctrine that has created realities that change the world, promote development, progress in human history and has a profound appeal and influence on the whole of humanity. Accordingly, it cannot be denied that Marx's great contribution to the formation and development of Marxism on a worldwide scale.

Since its inception, the Communist Party of Vietnam has identified Marxism-Leninism as the ideological foundation of the Party. From the VII Congress (1991) up to now, our Party has added Ho Chi Minh's thought and pointed out: The Party takes Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought as the ideological foundation and guideline for all actions. motion.

In order to maintain the ideological foundation, our Party has always clearly determined that it is necessary to be consistent with the principles of Marxism-Leninism, constantly supplementing and developing to suit Vietnam's reality and the world situation.

In recent years, there have been many complicated developments in the domestic and international situation. In the world, extremism nationalism, populism are emerging, non-traditional security issues are still ongoing and tend to be increasingly complex.

In the country, the renovation cause has been promoted comprehensively, but it has to face many difficulties and great challenges such as the resistance of hostile forces, and reactionary organizations that are becoming more and more sophisticated and drastic; The manifestations of deterioration in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" internally and the situation of corruption, wastefulness, negativity... are still complicated.

More seriously, there are a number of cadres and party members with unstable political skills, deterioration in political ideology, doubts and ambiguity about the Party's goals and ideals and the path to socialism. society in our country; a few bewildered, wavering, distrustful; In particular, it also denies Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought and the Party's renewal line... These are challenges that cannot be underestimated.

Faced with that situation, our Party clearly points out: The guiding thought throughout the entire Party, people and army is to be consistent, apply and creatively develop Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought. This is considered as one of the issues of principle, of vital significance to our regime, a solid foundation of our Party, not allowing anyone to tilt or waver.

The steadfastness and steadfastness of our Party over the past 93 years is a convincing evidence to affirm that Marxism-Leninism still has value and sustainable vitality to many countries around the world, in which there is Vietnam.
