SSI Securities has a new general director

(Dan Tri) - The new General Director of SSI is Mr. Nguyen Duc Thong (37 years old), replacing Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam.

SSI Securities Corporation (stock code: SSI) announced the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Duc Thong (37 years old) as General Director from August 1, replacing Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam. The term of appointment is 3 years.

Before joining SSI 6 years ago, Mr. Thong had many years of experience working at the world's leading financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley... He graduated from Cambridge University (UK).

In the announcement, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of SSI - said he believes that the combination of global intelligence and understanding of the Vietnamese market will help the new CEO lead the company into a breakthrough development phase. Mr. Hung believes this is a strategic choice and is ready to directly accompany and support the new CEO.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam - Mr. Hung's younger brother - will continue to be a member of SSI's Board of Directors after his term as General Director ends.

SSI has also just announced its separate financial report for the second quarter of 2025 with pre-tax profit reaching VND1,144 billion. The company estimated consolidated results at VND1,197 billion, achieving 53% of the yearly plan. By the end of the second quarter, the company had outstanding margin loans and advances of more than VND33,134 billion, up 51% compared to the beginning of the year.
